Gwinnett Technical College - Technical school in Lawrenceville - 5150 Sugarloaf Pkwy, USA

I am a 2015 graduate and was in one of the life science programs. The admission to the programs can be very competitive and drawn out. Once you are in the program you must make a 70% or higher on all the final exams or you will fail the entire program. This college needs a better learning approach.

I’ve been trying to get information from the school by calling and the people I get transferred to are SO RUDE, like they don’t wanna help they just keep referring me to their website but their website just has SO MUCH going on it’s hard to find what I need. I’m trying to start classes but no one seems to care to want to help.

I wish I could choose 0 star. I have been trying to get an advisor appointment for 2 months now. QLess doesn’t have any availability for Healthcare advisors I check everyday. When I call the operators are always rude. They transferred me to a manager twice I left a message it’s been 4 days now no response. I emailed the health team advisors with the questions I have so I can start registering to classes it’s been 4 days still no response. I finally found an appointment through QLess I woke up too a pen and pencil waiting for my call to get a message saying they remove me from the line. I’m so emotional and stressed right now but I’m guessing it’s God giving me red flags cause there’s no way a school can be that unprofessional. 09/03/24 I’m still not able to schedule an appointment to see an advisor or financial aid specialist. When I go in person they say go on Qless to schedule an appointment, Qless never have nothing available.

Even though it says it closes at 10:30pm. They will start kicking you out at near 9pm Terrible when you're trying to study and do homework. Update y'all's time.

The only reason I’m giving this place two stars is for the amazing teachers I’ve had over the past four years with this college. That being said, if you're like me and paying your own way through, I would not recommend this college if you wish to study to become a veterinary technician. For starters, you're not allowed to have personal freedom of expression (no hair dye, no tattoos, and no piercings) , you have to pay for an expensive rabies vaccine that is very difficult to find a place to do (up to $1200), you also have to pay for a crazy amount gas driving around 3 days a week for your externship. That's on top of all the tuition you already have to pay and none of that is reimbursemed. It's not for me, but if your parents pay for you I'd say go for it. The teachers are great.

The people answering the phone hate their jobs and never want to help anyone get any useful information. I don’t know why they sign up to work at a college if they don’t like helping college students. It’s a shame!

Great and affordable school to attend for a number of degrees and diploma programs. I'm taking up the Automotive Technician program.

If I could give this school a zero I would. The only nice thing about this school is their Science professors , they are alll AMAZINGGG best I’ve ever had . But besides that , the staff at this school are extremely rude and unhelpful. Trying to get someone to answer the phone calls is nearly impossible and once you do , they are no help and rude . I finally got someone to answer the registrars office for a couple questions and her response was “do you really want me to answer that” . I was explaining to her my situation so that she could guide me and that was her response.
