The food was delicious except the portions were a little small for the price. The atmosphere was great and our server was phenomenal. We enjoyed it overall and would most likely come back just because of the service!
We had the steak/shrimp and Taste of the Bayou. The gumbo was absolutely phenomenal, the red beans and rice great as well. My wife's steak was a perfect medium, the sides of green beans and baked potato salad were on point as well. Yes they are a bit short staffed but who isn't these days. Bring your patience and your appetite, this place is WELL worth the wait!
Oyster Poboy was great!!! Sadly though, my wife’s catfish plate was pathetic… 3 small strips of catfish no much bigger than my index finger as shown in the photo!
Great food !! I ordered the catfish basket and it was delicious. My husband ordered the crawfish etoufee and the catfish po boy and loved it. The food was fresh and hot ! The service was great. Down home southern cooking !
We ordered the crabbing with extras Large salad and fried mushrooms as appetizers For the price we had ample for the 3 of us to share The fried mushrooms were fresh not frozen. The heat level on our. Crab boil was just the right heat. They close after lunch and reopen for dinner. We arrived just as they reopened and glad we did They got really busy around 5:30. The 2 waitresses got a real workout!!!
Traveling again for work. Google helped me find Gumbo Pot. Walked in Monday early evening and quickly found out that it's seems to be a popular place with the locals. It was busy. Ordered the Seafood Gumbo with a side of sweet potato fries. The potion was adequate it was full of flavor, and the price reasonable. As the evening progressed the place started to be a bit less busy. A sign of the times possibly due to being a small restaurant, is that they charge an extra 4% if you pay with a card. Not really a surprise as everything is clearly labeled in the bill and there are several signs posted. I will definitely come back here when in the area.

Stopped while traveling through since it was close to the exit and had plenty of parking. It was Friday evening so there was a 5-8 minute wait. After being seated our waitress promptly got our drink orders.
Wife had the bowl of chicken and sausage gumbo; gravy was fantastic. I had the fried catfish which was Greg and tasty with rice & beans (it was okay) and the bread was simply delicious and should’ve had a few more rolls lol.
