We visit St Pete's Beach at least twice a year.Usually we stay at beach hotels along the strip. Last May, I organized a girls trip, so we needed one bedroom accommodations for a great price. Gulfwinds delivered. Great beach with food/drink availability, restaurants in walking distance, clean condo with beach chairs and very nice people at the complex. This time I reserved a two bedroom. The first floor condo was clean and very confortable. We had to purchase beach chairs (which we left) since every condo has different things left for the renter.Although the beach was being dredged, we moved over a bit to the next available access. We had the same feeling about Gulfwinds this trip. It will be our new go to when we visit St Petes!
Unit 1201 is shabby at best. It needs a major refurb. The unit is dilapidated and sorely in need of a DEEP clean. The dropped ceilings in both the kitchen and bathroom are filthy. A/C vents are the same. The shower curtain rod is rusty and the curtain liner had mildew. We cleaned the unit to make it usable for our stay. The bed linens were clean as were the towels. The owner of this unit is not doing GW any favors by renting out this unit. We saw other rooms and they were in MUCH better condition. Walk to the beach is very easy and the pool is nice.
Nice place great location, however one huge problem though they don’t mention theHOA members who are a bunch of miserable old ladies who pester the guests at the pool non stop , it was borderline harassment. Spoke with several other guests who said they never felt more uncomfortable and unwelcome. We will never return because of the old hags!!
My boyfriend and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay in #701. Our unit was a quick walk to beach, and for an affordable price. We were pleased that our room was spacious enough to be comfortable for 2 people, despite being a studio. We were a little warm, since the limit for the air conditioning is 72 degrees, but it wasn't a big deal. I was afraid we'd see some huge "palmetto" bugs AKA roaches due to the cheaper price tag of the place, so I was delighted when I didn't see a single bug anywhere for the entirety of our week-long stay. Our bed was soft and we enjoyed our full-sized kitchen. Very pleased with the value we got for our money! Comfy room, great location to the beach, and several restaurants and bars within walking distance so we didn't have to get in the car and drive somewhere every time we got hungry. If we come back to St. Pete, I would definitely choose Gulf Winds again!
The unit we stayed in was dirty. The bathroom and floors were dirty. Even saw insects (Roaches) in the bathroom. The resort and rooms need updated. Beach is beautiful - luckily able to spend most of the time outdoors rather than in the room. I would not recommend this place - not worth the money. LOOK for a different resort!
Very old buildingd. 2 br very small. You can hear thru the walls. Upstairs neighbors were noisy. Location is very good for getting to beach and restaurants. Close to johns pass and clearwater beach for day trips.
Everything here was great. We were a party of 2 adults and a new born baby. We met Teresa at the onsite office and she helped us check-in as early as possible. Teresa provided us with lots of information on the area, where to go for dinner, beaches, grocery stores etc which was a great help. The area is right beside the beach and the apartment we stayed in had a kitchen. Lovely spot, thanks Teresa :)
We love staying at the Gulf Winds Resort and have been staying here for years. They have nice facilities, shuffleboard, laundry on site, BBQ Grills, a clean spacious pool and steps from the beach which is never crowded to see the perfect sunsets. Teresa McGuiness goes above and beyond for her guests. She is the reason that we continue to come back year after year. If we have any issues she is on top of them right away. She works with us every year to find a unit that will work with our needs. You can tell that she loves her job!

This was our first time at The Coconut Inn and we loved everything about it. We wanted an old town low key beach vibe where we could walk or bike to the beach, bars, restaurants and to hear music. The Owner of the Inn, Maggie was so nice and accommo
Love this place. We have rented unit 508 multiple years in a row and love the pool area and view of the bay. The beach is a small trek across the street but that's fine because there are crosswalks and the unit we stay in has a beach wagon for chairs
The room was very nice and clean. It was decorated nicely and the staff went out of the way to make sure everything was good. I like to get away to the beach area once in a while even though I'm local. I would definitely go back.
We stayed just for one night but really enjoyed our families experience here. All of the staff was very friendly and very accommodating. The valet was actually convenient and they helped us as well with setting up beach chairs for us and setting up a
Perfectly embodies an Old Florida feel. Sweet and intimate beachfront and gorgeous small town vibe. Walking the little shops was a treat. If youâre tired of congested beaches and want something more cozy and sincere, the is the place to look.
Wonderful, quiet, great place to stay. Met wonderful people who come back year after year. Price was excellent. Had a kitchen with all you might need. Furnished nicely. Will come back next time in St. Pete's Beach!
We were here to catch (obviously) the sunset. Although it was a cloudy evening we enjoyed the beach. Lots of room to setup an umbrella and chairs, or rent them. Also beach volleyball courts are available to the public. There are restaurants there as
We were on the hunt for a great breakfast spot right by the beach when in St Pete and we are glad we found the frog pond! We were greeted warmly by the host, seated immediately on a busy Saturday and our order was taken right away. Tyler was a great
A beautiful local St Pete Beach park right on Boca Ciega Bay. They often have live music and movie events to enjoy. You can bring your own food and drink or support the local firefighters by buying the inexpensive food and beverages at the events. Fa
I went at sundown on a relatively colder day (~55F), and the beach was great! Super fine, white sand and no seaweed or debris once you get past the beachhead/parking lot area. The parking lot is just a stones throw away from the whole beach. Not much
