We first stopped here about 3 years ago and have been trying to get back ever since! The food was just as good as we remembered. Service was great and friendly. When the chips and salsa came out, we asked for a hotter salsa and oh boy did they deliver the fire. We had the beef soup - super good, you could see that they'd made bone broth - and the barbacoa (shredded braised beef cheeks), which were outstanding. We used to live in Mexico City for a time and the flavors here are pure Mexico.
Carne Asada was my favorite. The beef was really flavorful. I also enjoyed the Quesabirria. The Birria soup was beefy and delicious. It was a little messy to eat but worth it. The Enchiladas Verde sauce was good. The Mexican plate was so-so.
The free chips and salsa was really good. Chips was crispy and fresh and salsa was right blend of heat, tartness and flavor.
This place is really good for close to the border Mexican food.
We stopped here on our trip to AZ, and it was awesome! My son horked the salsa and chips, and absolutely loved it! Our food and service was excellent! Authentic and friendly Mexican food!
Yes, yes, yes!!! Carne guisada gordita!! Perfect! Beef fajita taco on a corn tortilla! Tostada! Such great service. My husband's flautas were a little dry but other than that, wonderful!
Nice local, casual spot for Mexican food and $5 frozen margaritas. Stopped on our way to San Antonio. Service was excellent! Food was $$.
Could not find ADA compliant bathroom (no bars). Also bathroom could use deep cleaning.
Wonderful place to eat. Came at supper. Food was very good! Staff were wonderful. Very friendly atmosphere.
Awesome!! Top 2 best Mexican restaurants I've ever been to. Only reason it's not #1 is because it's 550 miles from home. Can't think of anything I didn't like...and I can usually find something. Stop in if u can...it's worth a detour for sure! Enjoy!!!
Food was very mediocre, small portions and over priced. definitely not 4 stars, I would give it 3 stars if I’m being generous. service was fine, however, the cashier at the end over charged me around $6 on top the including gratuity which was another $10 without letting me know that there is gratuity so I’d tip regularly on top of that. That’s straight up a scam and would never return to this restaurant. After I did the math in my head and I knew it was wrong and asked for a receipt she changed it and didn’t even apologize. Absolutely ridiculous! Be careful if you ever eat at this restaurant.

GREAT, quick place to pick up some burritos when traveling through I-10! It is NOT a dine in. Drive through only! But The brisket n green chile burrito, with asadero cheese is SO worth the stop!
Such a lovely experience! The food is absolutely delicious and the service is excellent! And to top it off, you get a fun little sherbet for free. âï¸
My husband and I toured the Annie Riggs Museum. She was the wife of my 8th cousin (four times removed), Barney Riggs. Barney was both a gunslinger and a deputy, working both sides of the law, not uncommon in the Wild West.
The museum was wonderful an
I absolutely love Spanish Trail Lodge. Patty, Jerry, and (sweet dog Cujo) were so warm and welcoming, and my room so comfortable and clean on my first visit, that I drove out of my way to stay here again a month later. They are thoughtful of every de

We stopped here for the night on our way west. We arrived after dark. The park entrance was well-lit making it easy to navigate to the office. The park itself was darker which meant we had to keep a careful eye out getting to our spot but I would rat
