Grumpy Gators Bar & Grill - Bar & grill in Homosassa - 4828 S Suncoast Blvd, USA

My husband and I have eaten here on a number of occasions, after finally deciding to give it a try. The pictures I'm posting are from more than one meal and don't encompass everything we've tried. The pizza is next level good (we've gotten it multiple times). My husband loves the burgers. Last time I ordered a Cuban. Oh, my heavens, it was delicious. This restaurant has become one of our favorites.

Good Lord that was amazing! I ordered the Reuben. I also ordered the salad bar. The salad bar was a little tiny thing, but I wanted a salad. Even though it was small, it was mighty. It had some of the best macaroni salad I've had in a while. Meats, cheese all kinds of goodies. It also had loaded baked potato soup that was to die for. The Reuben was huge and so delicious. I had to bring half of it home because I just couldn't fit it all in my belly at 1 time. But I wanted to. I told the owner ( she was cooking today) that I wish I could put her in my back pocket and take her home with me for whenever I wanted her delicious food... highly recommend, if you're going down 19 and you see an old, grumpy lookin restaurant on the side of the road that's the spot, Grumpy Gators. The service was great. Everyone was real friendly. Definitely old Florida.

If you're going up or down US 19 near Homosassa, you must go here! If you're not, if a way to get there. Food... EXCELLENT and so much you won't believe it. The folks are really nice, and they have outdoor an area for bands and entertaining. This place is SUPER 😎! They don't have a sign by the road, but you'll see the saloon with all the trucks. Enjoy! This place was SO FUN!!! Not only was there food so good but everyone working there were so fun and chatty. The other costumers were fun and easy to talk to and nobody minded that my siblings were a but loud.

First time here I walked in and sat at the bar. The bartender greeted me with a smile got my beer. I ordered my food. I waited quite a while for my food but that’s OK and then I got my cheeseburger and it was like a hockey puck but right before that, there was a lady sitting at the bar and apparently she knew the person that worked there because he was trying to help her. She stood up and hit the floor. Needless to say I will never be back.

Ordered food as soon as we got there. One waitress/bartender for the whole place on a Saturday afternoon. A couple order a good 15-20 minutes after we ordered they ordered. Their food came our did not. We asked and bartender said it probably had something to do with what they are currently cooking ??? Told her to cancel the order and she did then walks away. We had to ask her to cash out. Very sad. First time walking in a the place last time as well. Disappointing. Can’t rate the food it never came

First time here.. I heard their fried chicken was good so I stopped in a tried it.. Very good.. also mash potatoes and mushroom gravey was good.. green beans were OK. Definitely will be back. UPDATE: This place has gone downhill. The bartender was the ONLY waitress and I didn't even get what I ordered. Don't recommend this place anymore 😕

We ordered a taco pizza and cosmetically, it was glamorous! Unfortunately, the flavor was quite bland, even with all of the regular toppings - minus tomato. It tasted similar to those nachos that you make at home when you microwave shredded cheese on some tortilla chips and it comes out all soggy. I don't know if any taco seasoning was used, because I didn't taste any taco flavor at all. I highly recommend adding some seasoning. Also, maybe a tad bit less of the shredded cheese on top and complimenting with a layer of nacho cheese?? The crust was just really soggy about 2" from the outside in. I couldn't tell what part of the pizza I was eating, but I'm pretty sure it was the crust. May want to crisp it up a little bit. Anyway....Hope this helps in case anyone was curious about the Taco Pizza and hesitant to order! Also, one star for atmosphere, because of that odd smell you just want to run away from and really weird/off vibes in general...... The tall blonde waitress everyone else seems to complain about was nice to me.
