Gruene Historic District - Cultural landmark in New Braunfels - 1601 Hunter Rd, USA

What a fun place to visit! See the sites, shop in the many stores located here. Visit the Gruene Dance Hall or Gruene Mansion. Great day! Don't forget to enjoy the food and relax by the river and most of all have a great time!

Very busy but very family friendly. Lots of cute shops and beautiful trees. It’s a magical little Texas town.

Lovely little town. Lots of shops. Great place to spend half a day and browse around.

We love visiting this area. It is always so much fun, especially Caylor Forge! There are several great places to eat, some really good music in lots of indoor and outdoor venues, and a wonderful park-n-ride service across the river to deal with the terrible parking on site. The only thing keeping this place from getting 5 stars is the difficulty in locating restrooms, especially for quick access by the elderly.

Fun little community. Lots of little touristy shops and great winery. Winery on the Gruene is one of my favs and I always have my wife buy a case when she is in the area. The Gristmill is a cool old ruin of a cotton mill turned restaurant. Good food. The photos will give you an idea of the atmosphere there.

Spent the day here. Eating, music, shopping and taking it all in. What a small town beautiful day!

Gruene Hall Still the best Dance Hall in Texas after all these years. Well worth the drive from Austin or even further. Able to get up close to the performance. Only don't plan on dancing much with a headliner on stage.
