Good food. Good service. I'd go there again if I'm in the area.

This place is half bar half diner. I went on a Sunday around 6 pm and only 1 other table was occupied. My mother ordered liver cooked very rare. It came VERY well done. We sent it back. A second piece was only slightly better. I ordered bourbon chicken. It was vastly overcooked with a sticky over-sweet sauce and barely warm frozen mixed vegetables. The menu is too large for much of it to be freshly prepared. I would not return.

I haven't eaten here in years. Even before the Tornado hit. So this is basically my first time here. I was surprised at the creative options on the menu. Found many things I wanted to try. Almost ordered the "Horse"... I was quite pleased with my meal. My kids ate till they were full. The dessert options are awesome. This place is definitely worth a drive into the country.

The food is good, but nothing special. It was prepared quickly, with great service, and you get a lot of food for the price. I would go back.

1st time returning since it got rebuilt. Had the breakfast buffet $13.99/person. Was not impressed, food was awful, the biscuits were undercooked, sausage gravy seemed from a can definitely not homemade, hash browns were freezer burnt, sausage & bacon were super greasy & overcooked, pancakes were 🫤, eggs with green peppers & onions was 🫤. Coffee could’ve been better too weak. Our waitress was ok, nothing spectacular. Some short white hair woman was very rude. No one was friendly. Definitely will not return not worth the drive. Go into Rochelle and go to McDonald’s or The Butterfly, better food and service and people/waitresses are great!!!

FABULOUS place all around. From the time you walk in the staff is kind and thoughtful, the food is phenomenal (both portions, taste, and price), and the atmosphere is homey and comfortable. We're not from this part of Illinois, but will definitely be stopping in again.

Best food in several counties. I’d drive hungover as hell to eat their delicious breakfast. Great service for years. 🫠

Experience sucked. My family and I went there it was almost $100 for the buffet that had nothing out and was all dry. They also wanted to charge me $8.99 for my 1 year old to pick a piece of egg off my plate. Plus the waitress was rude.
