08/12/23: it is a cool park to enjoy some beach views. The trail leading to the beach is quite steep. There is a volleyball court and a restroom at the beach area. There is a kids playground in the middle of the trail.
The parking is ample. The park access is quite challenging since you have to drive downhill a lot. One more thing, please enjoy your visit. I love to be back soon
Nice park to watch the Blue Angels during Seafair if you live in Mercer Island or Bellevue. We arrived about 2.5 hours before the show. The parking lot was already full but there’s street parking along the main road and it’s a short but steep walk to the park. Entry to the park was limited to 500 people, which was nice because it doesn’t get overcrowded. We enjoyed relaxing by the water prior to the show and watched people out on the water, swimming, boating, and picnicking on the shore. Traffic isn’t bad leaving after the show, we were out of Mercer Island within 15 minutes.
I couldn't help but feel I was encroaching as I made my way to the parking lot... very tight squeeze between residential homes. Other than that, there is something quite unique about this little park. I can imagine it being popular during summer. But my curiosity to discover new mushrooms and fungi brought me here in December. Luckily this beautiful little park provided me with a couple new specimens.
Lovely park, be prepared to be very packed for seafair
Small park that gets heavy use during Seafair, it can handle all that if you walk in but do not expect to use a popup shelter etc unless you arrive several hours ahead. There is a decent paved steep incline to the park that can handle rolling carriers etc. Nice sand beach which is walled off from the water, toddlers cannot stand in the water at the park but 3-4 y/o and.up could with watchful adults. No lifeguard. There is a large no fishing or boating pier to jump off of. There are small bathrooms there as well.
I love this park. Such a beautiful view and the facilities are nice and clean. Warning- the walk down to the beach and back from the parking lot is pretty steep but worth it
Watched the Blue Angels here last two years. Lots of shade and can play in water near beach. Get there early as very limited parking and limits on count of people allowed on beach.
Awesome private beach at a private residence, which is by Groveland Beach Park. I absolutely loved it, no annoying people around dumping their burger and other food wrappers, with their barking hounds to spoil your relaxation. If I could come here every time I would do it. Nothing beats a private beach at one's own residence.
