Three stars for the selection, but many reasons why I'm giving this place, which I come to A LOT, a low rating: The employee turnover rate is HIGH and, because of this, they are replaced with lethargic, uncaring and low energy people that mostly don't know how to do their job or care about doing their job. They always seem annoyed to be there and asking for assistance is pretty much a gamble as they keep you waiting or flat out refuse. The franchise owners are a mixed bag. I see the female owner a lot and she never says anything; super unapproachable and unfriendly. The male owner is kind of passive, but seems more receptive. Their ads are really scattered in that it can take WEEKS for the items listed to appear in store and I asked about this a few times with some items I wanted and they said it was the supply chain issue. Fair enough, but unless you KNOW it'll be there, don't publish it; borders on false advertising and makes people angry. Finally, a lot of prices aren't displayed on new items with some employees just making their own prices at the register because they can't find it in the system so, if you go in wanting the same thing at the same price they gave it to you for, you'll get the ACTUAL price and be annoyed that they didn't price it properly to begin with. I really love this place, but it needs to step things up.
THE grocery store to go to first, for all name brands all the time all over the place. Frequently you will find new items that have not reached the regular grocery stores, and items that the brand names have too much of. Many great finds that are usually marketed by brands on the other coast or regions. Limited quantities and new items weekly. A must to visit weekly--its all here, dairy, vegetables, frozen, meats and fish, breads and everything in between! At prices that you will think are a mistake. Just visit and see for yourself! Each Grocery Outlet is independently owned and operated and have a choice of stocking different items from their buyer's list, so if not in Porterville, by all means visit the Visalia and Tulare Grocery Outlet stores, and if you see something that you think the Porterville store should carry, by all means let the owners Darwin and Lisbeth Lara know--they are very receptive to such customer feedback!
Went to grocery shop, and needed to use the restroom. They do not allow customers to use the restroom anymore. Had to leave my cart, and drive home. Needless to say I wont be going back. What type of grocery store does not let customers use the restroom while shopping?? Customers are not valued here.
We're getting ready for retreat so we found all are good treats to take with you're able to get plenty of food thank you
Favorite place to shop.Always find deals.May not get everything on your list but 90% and get some items you may have not thought about but the prices are so good, especially when you have four or more mouths to feed lol..
Got some deals, but it's not the stock, it's the manager guy- kinda snooty if you ask me, but other than that- meh
Went to the Dollar General in Strathmore Ca. to get some change and was asked if the change was for me or something else. What does it matter what it is for? Where did customer service go?
My intentions are to buy the one or two things that are on my list. That never happens. You think I would know by now to get a shopping cart because I always get more than my hands can hold. I guess I'm a slow learner! I went in to get some Abuelita Mexican Chocolate Drink Mix (delicious!) and came out with an armful including tablets of stickers for adding to a planner. This is a fun place to shop because you never know what you will find & at a great price too!
It's under new management. Whole place has been gutted and remodeled. Very clean and easy to walk through. Bright and easy to see whereas before it was dark and dingy. The meat counter is great!! Good quality meat at very good prices. I switched from
The very first bite and I absolutely knew that this was best patty melt I have eaten anywhere. I chose sourdough bread and pepper jack cheese. They grind their own meat. It was cooked perfectly and the strange part I noticed it melted in mouth. T

The chefs are not afraid to use the proper amount of peppers in their delicious food. Especially loved the larb and wished I could try more. Would make it a point to stop here again if anywhere close.
I'm not exactly a morning person. When I do happen to be out and about in the city I shop at , in the morning... Starbucks coffee put a smile on my face this morning. Thanks and great job Starbucks, Josh F.
There are 3 El Charro Tapatio in Porterville, but this location is the BEST one. Everything is always delicious and fresh. We really like the elderly lady in there. She is just genuinely happy and so sweet all the time. She is really good what she is
First visit to this cafe. This was on the Sunday after Thanksgiving. Got there early on recommendation of local friend. We were one of three tables, and the atmosphere was of a utilitarian cafeteria . Although, the walls were plastered with all sorts
Great food! I always order something with a side of rice, because if the rice isn't good who cares about the other stuff. I judge Mexican restaurants with extreme prejudice based on the simple menu items. But this restaurant has great cooks! It remi
Recently I took my boys to this park and they loved it they are both age 6 and under. As a parent I loved it because I saw how much they liked it. Rest rooms were clean and there was a good amount of seats all around for the parents to watch their k
