It was a fun place to spot between Columbia and Baltimore. Didn't go down the whole trail, just the bridge to see it. It does that awesome shake when someone bikes across it. The area is beautiful and calming, but there wasn't an obvious place to park. Every open area had a "no parking" or "illegal parking" sign. Because of that, we only stayed a few minutes.

parkin is difficult but the views make up for it. The bridge looks off into the river with so many wildflowers and foliage. Lots of wineberries and blackberries to enjoy on the hike!

what a wonderful surprise to stumble upon this little foot bridge on hike today. i hiked there from the river road trail parking lot. there’s no parking along the street by the bridge.

THERES NO LEGAL PARKING!!!! I got told to move by a bunch of rangers cars get towed, and they follow through. Nice area but it’s a long walk to get to it from the other side. I don’t recommend going here unless you can find a tow free parking spot!

spectacular spot just off the highway and start of a trail further into the Patapsco River Valley--less than a ten minute drive from downtown Ellicott City but has that deep in the wilderness feel

Great out door space. Kids really enjoyed riding their bikes and playing with the water. The only complaint I have was that the path for the bike track to cross over to the other side is broken, which meant all the kids had to get off their bikes and walking it over, and they got their feet soaked. Some got hurt trying to get a cross. The council needs get it fix!! Pic attached of daughter trying to cross over.

The BEST part i discovered today is being down IN the river and on the big boulders just beyond this turn in the river. We sat there for 3 hours in heaven.

You get an awesome view of the Patapsco River and railroad bridge. The downside is that the parking area to walk to the bridge is very small and gets filled up quickly. Once you cross the bridge you can take a very scenic leisurely walk along the Patapsco River.
