Greystone Motor Inn & Motel - Featured Reviews (8)
This is by far the best inn you will ever go to. The owners are amazing and the view is beautiful. The lake next to it is one of the best lakes. It is so clear and their beach is very nice. There is a lot to do around the lake and the Greystone is a very central spot and is pretty close to a lot of the towns. 10/10 would definitely recommend and will come back to.
We stopped on Saturday evening after being on the motorcycle all day and searching for a room. Dan and Kathy are super friendly and hospitable. They even prepared a tray with coffee, creamer and blueberry muffins so we could have breakfast in our room. The motel is clean and well maintained. It’s rare to find owner / operators with level of pride they have for their business. I highly recommend them and would rate higher than 5 stars if possible. Dan and Kathy, thank you once again!
Amazing place! We come here every year and its great. Owners are so nice. Two huge beaches and allot of room to swim. Also a big doc to jump off. Rooms are vary nice with a kitchen and a refrigerator. There’s a tv too but you don’t need to use it you can swim all day. I’m lovin it.
We have been coming to the Greystone every summer for many years now. It is our home away from home. The location--right on top of Lake Winnipesaukee, but in a secluded area, away from major roads and tourists--is simply perfect. You will not find a better location to stay in the Lakes Region of NH if you tried--and I can say this definitively because before we came across the Greystone, we tried lots of places all over the area, and none came close. If you want to be really close to Lake Winnipesaukee, with a dock and beach shore that you can access whenever you want (if you are a Greystone patron), then stay here. Sure, you can find places on Route 3 (e.g., the Naswa), or directly on top of Weirs Beach (e.g. Halfmoon), but those are busy, noisy places. The Greystone is located on a quiet side road called (no kidding) "Scenic Drive." And that it is!||||The amenities are perfect for people who want to prepare their own food. There is a kitchenette with a stove and oven (in most units) and a freezer and fridge. Bathrooms are clean and spacious. And the view from the rooms is simply dreamy!||||The managers, the Hubleys (especially Kathy, who is on premises the most) are the most wonderful people you'll ever meet. They treat guests like family, and they stop at nothing to ensure that everyone is happy. Such lovely people. Do yourself a favor and stay at the Greystone if you are looking to be near Lake Winnipesaukee. You won't regret it for a second!
If you're looking for frills, this place isn't for you! Very simple room with efficiency kitchen if you want to do some light cooking. We stayed in a one-bedroom and our daughter slept in the living area on a futon. Best three things when considering this property: the cost, the view, the view. Yes, the view of Lake Winnipesaukee was gorgeous and the beach access gives you an opportunity to cool off. We found this on line and was able to book with one day's notice. We met folks who have stayed at this Inn for the past 12 years to one couple who were here for their 40th year in a row. Kathy, the property owner, was very nice and very accommodating. If you needed anything, all you had to do was ask. The rooms are dated but that's one of the points of staying here. Simple describes everything. The only negative was that the temps were in the 90's with high humidity and the unit only has a window A/C unit in the bedroom. They did have a fan to pull air from the bedroom into the other room which helped out a bit. We didn't spend much time in the room, since we came for the lake view and access, so it wasn't too bad once the sun went down. Would definitely return!
We found this place by accident one night when everything around Weirs Beach and Winnepesaukee were booked. We've been back three times now, all to the same room. The woman who runs the place is very nice, we hear they also expanded somewhat since we were there last. They have cable and a full kitchen in the room, a small beach, and a couple of rental kayaks, maybe a paddleboat too I think. The swimming is a very short walk from the rooms, and it's a nice sandy bottom. Location is good, it's right as you're driving into Guilford, a side street off the main highway. Try climbing Mount Major for a nice nearby hike.
I have just returned from a 5 night stay at the Greystone Motel. It was really wonderful. The location is great - fairly close to the action areas. The views from the motel were absolutely lovely. Favorite spot was sitting on the porch watching the Mount Washington boat go by. Having the kitchenette was a big help too. The owner is so pleasant and helpful. Great choice.|
Over 30 years I staying at Greystone Motel every August. Dan and Kathy are great with us over 20 years.
Gun stock has always been one of my favorite mountains. Very user friendly with many different types of terrait's easy to get to from just about anywhere. Ticket prices are through the roof everywhere, but gunstalk seems to be. A bit lower than a de
Such a pretty beach! We went on a weekday and the beach was well groomed and not busy at all. There's a nice, good size playground for the kids. Bathrooms are well maintained and outhouses available if after hours. I need to frequent this state park
Holy cow this park is beautiful! One of the highlights of the area. The view is just breathtaking. Pictures only give a taste but certainly don't do it justice.
Decided to come here for lunch. Docked the boat right in front of the restaurant. The place has a great atmosphere and offers a variety of sandwiches. Canât beat a view on the water. Service was great!
I ordered the pork belly sandwich and it was
Friendly service, the food tasted great. The salad was fresh. Good portions. The restaurant itself was super clean and welcoming. I will most definitely be back.
