Grey Pine Lodge - Motel in Waynesboro - 494 Three Notched Mountain Hwy, USA

Wonderful view, location, and amenities. My husband and I stayed the night before we took a trip along Skyline Drive, literally maybe 5 minutes away. The new building was very clean, very cozy, and I felt very safe staying there. The only downsides are a very loud AC unit (the day we stayed it was around 95 degrees outside so we had to have it running continuously) and the fact we couldn’t get into The Pine Shop the next morning. I was really looking forward to a morning cup of coffee and getting a few snacks before our ride up north.

Grey Pine Lodge is charming!! Communication has been so simple. Texts answered in a timely fashion- I truly appreciated this! The room is minimalist & I loved that. Very comfortable bed. A few minor issues: very loud AC unit & refrigerator. Door battery cover was hanging open. Several hairs found on the soap shelf in the shower- other than that- the room was spotless. Loved the location! We would stay here again!

We stayed for one night on our way back home, rooms were clean and check in was easy. Check in was all virtual. Our room (comfort queen) was charming and pretty. Just enough for us to be comfortable for the night. If I was staying longer than just a night I’d probably want a bigger room tho. The outdoor area was nice as well, there’s firewood for purchase as well as smores kits and other items. Overall was a nice property

Clean place, reasonably priced. Unfortunately my wife and I could not access the pine shop the morning we left to take advantage of the complimentary coffee. We were really looking forward to our morning cup of joe and were disappointed about our code not working despite it letting us in the night before. Other than that the room was nice and cozy and the property itself is very nice and easily accessible. It’s conveniently right next to the entrance to Skyline Dr which was its biggest selling point.

Pleasantly surprised. Clean. Cozy. Modern feeling. Nice small convenience store on site. Beautiful setting across from the historic Blue Ridge Tunnel trailhead - we walked over from the lodge to hike the trail. Just a couple of miles to Weasie’s Kitchen for breakfast. Fast reply to my texts to answer check-in questions. We would definitely stay there again.

Our stay at Grey Pine Lodge was peaceful and quiet. The room was comfortable and very nicely renovated. The location is perfect for exploring the Crozet Rail Tunnel (a unique and fun walk--be sure to take a good flashlight) as well as the Skyline Drive, Blue Ridge Parkway and more! Highly recommend!

I would give this place 10 stars if I could! I absolutely love it, what a wonderful oasis at the southern end of Skyline Drive. This is my second visit, and I will be a regular for sure. The rooms are beautifully appointed. It's clean, it has wonderful views and places to sit and enjoy the evening and a cup of coffee in the morning. I don't know what else to say about it. Stay here! Tell your friends about it! I am not affiliated with them in any way, I just want them to be successful so I can keep visiting for years to come!

What a great find! Perfect location to for exploring the outdoors and comforts of a newly remodeled room. Check in is so easy. Coffee, ice, and water all available in their "pantry" with other items available to purchase. I highly recommend staying here. AT hikers-a list of names and numbers is provided if you need rides.
