Had an absolutely wonderful stay here. Sarala is so friendly and hospitable, and you can tell she cares about all her guests and loves what she does. The rooms are beautifully decorated yet have a comfortable and homey feel. Unbeatable location, close to downtown and a gorgeous little park right across the street. And the rates are a steal considering the amount of personal service you get, complete with homemade breakfast. I would love staying here again next time I'm in Greensboro.
We stayed here on the way back from vacation. The owner was so sweet and very accommodating, and made us feel right at home. The bed was comfortable and the room felt way cleaner than any chain hotel I’ve stayed in. She also made us breakfast that was absolutely delicious. You can tell the owner truly cares about her guests and really goes the extra mile to make sure they’re taken care of. It felt like I was staying over at a relative’s house.
Highly recommend. A beautiful stay from check-in to check out, thanks to Sarala’s wonderful hospitality- the true spirit of a B&B and what slower travel can be. Very clean, comfortable, and private rooms; delicious private breakfast in beautiful garden. A real oasis that we will return to when we visit friends in Greensboro.
I cannot speak highly enough of Sarala and the Greenwood B&B. If you love older homes with character, in a beautiful neighborhood with a park right across the street, Greenwood is for you. The Hostess is so friendly and accommodating, and her food is absolutely delicious. After you eat a breakfast served by Sarala you will not need to eat again until supper. Finally, our bed was so comfortable, a very good mattress. You get so much more than you expect when you stay at Greenwood. It is a jewel.
I chose this stay based on all the glowing reviews, and they are not wrong! ||This is a beautiful historic home in a beautiful neighborhood, easy walk to downtown, parking available right in front of the house, and once you park you won't need to move your car again until you leave. The home faces a pretty, woodsy park--we had a very comfortable room with a windowseat overlooking the park and the house's lovely front garden. The hostess Sarala was so nice--very welcoming and made us feel right at home. The breakfast she prepared for us was quite literally the best I've had in years, and she made each plate up according to our dietary restrictions/preferences. She even gave us treats and water for the road when we had to leave! Everything was clean, and the bed was so comfortable! || We loved it and were sorry that we could only stay one night. Highly recommend and will definitely stay again! Many thanks to Sarala and her family for such a nice stay!
Located in a great area. Sarala greets you out front and is extremely welcoming. Rooms are large, great mattress, outstanding towels. Amazing breakfast, spinach omelette was really good. Highly recommend
From the moment we pulled up, parked the car, rang the doorbell, and met the homeowner, Sarala, we felt like we had arrived at an exceptional and extraordinary home.
Sarala (and her husband) went out of their way to make us feel truly welcomed, especially when she broke the ice by joining us on the front porch while we were enjoying a late afternoon cocktail, beautiful weather, and lush gardens. Casual conversation ensued about the legacy of the house, and it was just a great way to be welcomed back to my hometown from over 40 years ago.
Our room was perfect for our needs, and the house itself was full of historic charm - lots of areas that celebrated the history of Greensboro AND this home, including a stay by former US President William Taft.
Breakfast was abundant and delicious, and every aspect of our overnight stay was beyond our expectations. Sarala even provided us with a travel care package of fruit and snacks for our drive home.
We highly recommend the Greenwood Bed and Breakfast for any visit to Greensboro, and I know we we will surely return!
We were in G'boro for 1 night and found this B&B a very nice place to stay. We took the deluxe corner room overlooking a quiet, pretty park and quiet street, no traffic noise. Weather was pleasant and we slept with open windows. Distant trains were soothing and nostalgic. The house has been recently redone over it's 1905 bones and the rooms are individually decorated giving a comfortable relaxed charm. Ensuite was updated and provided a more than adequate tub/shower and room for necessaries. King bed was very comfortable. 15 walk to many nice upscale eateries. Breakfast was incredible, delicious, and huge - omelet, fruit, pancake, juice, bacon, sausage, roasted potatoes, coffee. Or host, Sarala, even made a "for the road' bag for us with treats and water. We certainly recommend a stay here if you're looking for an enjoyable B&B experience in Greensboro.
I visited for brunch on my birthday this weekend and it was AMAZING!!
The Staff and Chef are wonderful. They were very attentive, the quality of food is above most restaurants in town. You will not be disappointed with anything on the menu.

Brandon is an awesome coach. I took a workout class with him and learned some new workouts and had a great time. He's a great coach and a great person. Highly recommend!
My favorite coffee shop, itâs the spot for the cozy girlies. My partner brought me here for the first time and since then itâs been the spot. I like their lattes and egg omelette.
