Greenhorn Creek Resort - Golf course in Angels Camp - 711 McCauley Ranch Rd, USA

Was on vacation and had vouchers for a golf round here, called to book a tee time and they would not let me because it was “too hot.” Was planning on playing in a cart where it is manageable in the heat but was not allowed to due to them closing early (was only 4:30pm). Don't believe their hours at all. Highly unsatisfied.

Didn't enjoy this course. Crab grass everywhere including it looks like on the greens making the ball dance. Bunkers are hard dirt and rocks. Tee boxes are un even and like hitting out of the rough but the fairway would be rough on good courses. 110$ to play this which is laughable for this place. Save your money

Beautiful wedding venue! Love the outside and inside options for the reception in the case of rain. The event coordinator is very welcoming and helpful.

The chef and staff were great. I'm truly impressed with the food and service by Kristina, who made our night special. Great job, Chef.

-This review is about the course, not the shop- The first time playing Greenhorn Creek GC in Angels Camp. The course is in a newer housing development. My buddy and I got a golfmoose coupon for $79 for a twosome with the cart. In the fall and winter, you tee off in a shotgun format at 10:30 am to avoid frost conditions. They do have a range, but EVERYBODY is on it, so bring a sidesaddle of patience. Once we teed off, the round went pretty smoothly. We were paired with another twosome and started on the 16th tee. The tee boxes were clean and mostly well-maintained. The fairways were a little rough, but that is probably due to the lack of rain to keep them green (see photos). The greens were hecka-fast, even thought they had recently been sanded. We left putts short because we didn't want to overshoot the holes. The greens read fairly true with little undulation. The carts are in good condition, and the seats are very comfortable. No GPS, but they do have the ball and iron cleaner (nice touch). There were several restrooms available spaced out around the course. The course is a combination of elevation changes, blind tee shots, and wide driver fairways with few trees. Some fairways have narrow fairways where a five iron would be the best tee box choice. Overall, the experience was good, and we decided that we would come back. Note - If you use a golfmoose coupon, it is not valid on Fri-Sun, so book earlier in the week and save a few dollars.

Worldmark is no longer Wyndham, and it shows. New appliances, new faucets, and the change over has just started. I love this resort. Now I will love it more.

Beautiful, challenging course, fantastic clubhouse with really good food! Take a few hours to play in paradise!
