Green Tortoise Hostel Seattle - Hostel in Seattle - 105 Pike St, USA

It was in a perfect location, literally right across Pike Place and like a street or so from the Gum Wall. It was my first time in a hostel, but the place was nice, the beds were pretty comfortable and clean. It is a shared space, but the people I met there were very kind and respectful! The walking tours, both the Market and Seattle 101 were free, very informative and entertaining. This is now my go to spot whenever I come over to Seattle. I loved the vibes and truly did enjoy my stay. Hopefully many also share a similar experience.

I’m 60 and was worried I was too old to stay at a hostel, the GT removed any of my fears, what a great place. The staff are so welcoming and friendly. I had a 6 bunk room and was given the option for a top or bottom bunk ( bottom) and was surprised how clean and comfortable it was. Clean sheets blankets and pillowcases awesome. You get your own large locker under your bed, locks available for $5 if you forget to bring one. Towel hire $1. Multiple seperate lockable bathrooms on each floor with toilet sink and shower. The night I was there was free wine night. Not Dom Perignon, but hey it’s free!!! I had a good nights sleep, oh each bed has its own light and power points to recharge your phones etc. Breakfast next morning was cereal and toast. I saw a tray of eggs in the kitchen and I think you can cook your own eggs if you want to. Juice and coffee also provided. I would 100% recommend this place and would stay again. It was great!

Fabulous hostel. Location is great right next to Pike Place market and convenient with Target next door. Bathrooms are great with some of the best showers I've used. Good facilities and well equipped kitchen. Sociable lounge with nightly activities and good games selection. Would also recommend the free walking tour that leaves daily from the hostel lobby. Overall one of the best hostels I've stayed in and wouldn't hesitate to book again.

It was my first time staying at a hostel, and I definitely picked the right one. Staff was fabulous and very helpful. Breakfast was great and the hostel was kept really clean. The dining area is a little small but really not a big deal. Privacy curtains and personal fans and showers were great. Location is perfect and you can walk almost anywhere and if not there’s ton of easy access to public transit

Awesome staff, really lovely guy who checked us in (tall with a cap!) and saw to making sure we had everything we needed. Hostel was well kept with great amenities including big kitchen and laundry. Bathrooms were great, busy in the morning but not a long wait when they were. Bed was comfortable and great for two. Great atmosphere and very welcoming. Would 100% recommend and stay again in a heartbeat.

The hostel is full of very friendly and helpful staff! My friend and I stayed there and they helped us navigate how to get around Seattle and even showed us routes! The hostel is in a great location, target is right next door, a souvenir shop, the public market across the street and lots of other things nearby! I would say it’s the perfect location for anyone going to Seattle for the first time! The rooms are of course shared with other travelers so that can be a little difficult to navigate but for the price and all the other benefits you can beat that!

We had a good stay, check in was a little long but the rooms and beds were clean. We stayed in a 4 bed dorm. Overall, the place is safe, clean, and comfortable enough. The bathrooms were a little yucky but you can do your business get in and get out. I would recommend shower shoes to be safe. I like that there are curtains around the beds for a little privacy and the lockers under the bed had a lot of space for storage. |Breakfast was my favorite time, you can cook your own eggs provided in the shared kitchen which was kind of like a dance. Lots of ppl but very friendly and cooperative. If you are friendly and like meeting new people you will get a lot out of a stay at a place like this. |Please study the website. The location is unmatched but it’s still a hostel. I wouldn’t go so far as to say it’s roughing it or anything like that but this really is meant to be a bed you can crash on. Budget friendly in a city that’s very expensive. I love their mission of making travel more accessible and affordable. That’s what makes this place special. |If you manage expectations you will be happy with your stay.

I had a great time staying at the Green Tortoise Hostel. The staff were very friendly, accommodating and knowledgeable. The location is right in the middle of everything you may need or want to do while in Seattle. They also do a great job of trying to keep the place nice and clean. 10/10 would stay again.
