Green Tortoise Hostel San Francisco - Hostel in San Francisco - 494 Broadway, USA

Green Tortoise hostel is the best hostel I have ever stayed in. The rooms are clean and we couldn't hear any street noise from ours. The bathrooms are super clean and there are plenty of them. The dinning/social area is huge and it's so nicely decorated. It feels homely. You can either sit on the sharing tables or sit in the window and enjoy the view. The kitchen is well equipped with any kitchen utensils or fridges. They let you store your luggage after your check out with no issues. I can only recommend this place if you like to visit San Francisco on a budget and meet tonnes of lovely travelers. Chinatown is just around the corner. It's a short walk away to the nearest underground station. If we come back we will definitely stay here 💚

I stayed at the Green Tortoise Hostel for two nights this week. The room is clean and comfortable. The bathrooms are nice as well. There’s several bathrooms on each floor, so it’s still convenient although they’re not in the suite. Nick was very helpful! He’s been so nice and supportive when I was not feeling well on the first night. I will definitely come back when I’m visiting San Francisco again!

Green Tortoise Hostel is an amazing hostel that has wonderful staff members. The experience you get is great value for price and also enjoy free breakfast and going out with other hostels. This hostel gains you new relationships with others and gets you to enjoy your time. They also give you discounts to sightseeing tours and bike rides to go around San Francisco. It’s also ideal as it’s close to transport to go Piers and get to Alcatraz and Angel Island. And finally less than 15/20min drive to Golden Gate Bridge.

I loved my stay at green Tortoise. As my first stay in a hostel they did everything right to let me feel comfortable and safe. It was clean in the kitchen the bathroom, the rooms…also the free activities in the evening helped a lot to get in touch with new people. It couldn’t has been better

This place is amazing! Great location, excellent rooms and facilities (they have a huge common room, full kitchen, free breakfast, and even small sauna), but above all the social atmosphere at this hostel was wonderful! Each evening there is some organised social activity, or you could just chill in their common room and meet fellow travellers.

Charming, clean and cheap; couldn't have asked for a better stay! Conveniently located in the lively North Beach neighborhood, one of the best social atmospheres I've experienced at a hostel - especially for North America. Will surely return on my next trip to SF!

This place was so cool! They have fun events you can do with other travelers and locals daily! And I met some pretty cool people in my dorm room! It was my first time staying in a hostel and it was a great experience! Sharing the dorm with strangers was exciting and I’m so glad I did it! The staff was so kind and helpful! I definitely expect to be back:)

I stayed in this hostel for a week while looking for a room in North Beach for a long time. ⭐️ Staff were good. ⭐️ The beds are comfortable, the rooms are clean. ⭐️ There are enough bathrooms and toilets, they are always clean. ⭐️ I liked their breakfast includes bagels, jams and fruit😍 💻 Since I was working in a different time zone, I worked in their work space from 11 at night until 5 in the morning. I think this was the best part of the hostel. I couldn't socialize because I was busy, but this is an amazing hostel for meet New people And socialize.
