Green River Brew Depot - Bar in Saluda - 26 Church St, USA

Great little bar in downtown Saluda to grab a drink. They had a good selection of local craft beer on tap, as well as a fridge full of cans and bottles. The bartender was on the ball and very sweet. She knew all the locals by name and was able to recommend beers to the new people that came in based on their taste. Was obvious that she knew the menu very well. I was impressed, a very friendly spot. I can see why so many locals like coming here. You can sit at the bar or they have a good size area outside with seating.

Beer lover’s Mountain Oasis! When in the area, this is a must visit to quench your beer thirst. 18 beers on tap covering a variety of styles, plus plenty more choices bottles cans including your most wanted major brand lagers. The crafts on tap are great choices. Seating inside and out. Taproom seating at bar plus a few booths in addition to game rooms upstairs. Live music, outside patio and green space, very friendly and knowledgeable service. To top it all off, best beer pricing I’ve seen around the Carolinas. No food service except a few bagged snacks, so bring your own to enjoy with a cold beer. Cheers!

Awesome environment and animal friendly

My mother, her boyfriend, and I were enjoying my time here listening to the live band as we knew someone who played in it, and I was about to sing on the next set. As we were sitting down, some man started yelling at us for “messing his chess game up” for simply fixing pieces that have fallen on the ground (because no one was sitting there for a very long time and people kept hitting the table) he started yelling at my mother and her boyfriend tried to get him to back up because he was right in our faces. He pushed her boyfriend across the bar and everyone in the bar, including the bartender, didn’t help us at all, and didn’t make him leave. They acted like it was our fault and just let him walk around and continued talking bad about us. He targeted us and was obviously wanted a fight and the only thing the bartender said when we asked why he wasn’t asked to leave was "he is regular". We live in Saluda, it was ridiculous.

Been to many bars throughout the world on this one is my favorite. Great beer selection, good music every time. Wonderful and friendly service

Excellent selection of beers on tap and bottled beer. They don't serve food here-food trucks or order in. Bartender was friendly and helpful. Musician was friendly and playing medley of riff's. Patrons playing cornhole in back, not friendly!

Good prices on beer but I’ve tried to come here twice and even when it isn’t busy bartenders act like you’re an annoyance because they have to come in from outside talking to friends or having a smoke to get you a beer. Mind you we didn’t wave them over or ask for service , we just waited at the bar patiently and were met with attitude. It’s a shame as a lot of locals have told me it’s a great place since we moved here but when the other local bars are so much more welcoming I just don’t see the point of coming here.
