Green Dolphin Motel - Motel in Old Orchard Beach - 62 E Grand Ave, USA

Loved this place and the little mini studios 🥰. My husband and I were traveling through the east coast and found the green dolphin 🐬 so we decided to stay a few nights . We had the room, and it had a jacuzzi, so that's a great feature. The nice young woman who helped us was awesome and really worked with getting us our room, and the women who cleaned the rooms are very friendly 😀. Close to the beach (right across the street), and there's an awesome boardwalk and a cool place to go on rides, play carnival games, etc. The shops are kind of high, $$$$$, but I did find some great bargains at the nothing over $9.99 store. I highly recommend staying here, but make sure you make reservations because it fills up fast!

Well first off we arrived and we felt like we were walking into a pool area. The entire room was muggy and felt wet. Sent my husband to ask if this is normal only to have the manager come down and roller her eyes at us for it being because the room was just cleaned and the hot tub. Shouldn’t a room with a hot tub have the hot tub behind a closed door for that reason? Not out In the main room? But I digress, we decided to put up with it. Only to find out the bed was beyond stiff, and had sheets pulling off the corner when you moved. Furniture was from the 80s, and the whole room was tiled due to the hot tub. We were told we would have to go another hotel down the block just to use the coffee maker as well. Every room had a patio set except for ours which we had to share with the room next door and effectively had to sit in the parking lot. Only 4 channels on the tv, that would frequently become a static mess. The entire stay was cringy lack luster and underwhelming, I felt sticky every morning, and barely slept due to the train barreling by the tracks blasting horns right by our room. Overall I don’t believe we will ever be returning and it’s sad to see a once well talked about place falling off the rim like this. Don’t come here unless you are looking for a poor nights sleep for way over priced rates.

This was our first stay at the Green Dolphin. Check in was quick and painless. We were on the second floor at the rear. The hotel is older and the rooms reflect this. There is a wardrobe, table and chairs, stove and a small fridge. Everything we needed for the week. The room was spotless and remained that way all week. The staff is friendly and helpful. The pool is fabulously warm and clean! Located across the street from the beach and 2 minutes to the pier. We will be back. Thank you for a great stay.

Location is fantastic. Right on Main Street. Only a few steps from the beach. That’s kinda where the good stops. Beds are so small that we couldn’t even sleep together. Thank god for 2 beds. They are also very uncomfortable. I thought we were going to get a light and airy room, i was wrong. It feels like it hasn’t been touched since the 80s. There was black electrical tape holding a light by the bed together. There is no sink in bathroom so u have to use kitchenette sink. Electrical outlet by mirror in kitchenette didn’t work so i had to blow dry my hair without mirror. Tub drains extremely slowly. Didn’t have time for the pool. For the price, they should update all rooms. But location is absolutely the best.

The location is good. The lining on the pool is fading. The rooms are small and pretty uncomfortable. The owner is not a very nice person. I come with my family to this hotel yearly I bring my 5 kids as a single mom with only 1 income is hard. But I save up for one single trip a year to be able to take my kids somewhere. Apparently I broke a rule I was unaware of by letting my sister in my room early morning and she hung out during the day we cooked on the bbq Hung out by the pool etc. My youngest child is 1 years old and teething. The owner waited until almost 9 o’clock at night to tell me that I had too many children staying in my room the second night and I needed to either kick out on of my kids or leave entirely. He claimed I was asked how many people were going to be in my room when I booked it. I wasn’t. The funny part is he claims it was because of code enforcement I needed to find a place for one of my kids to leave (either my 16 year old or my 18 year old who turned 18 on Aug 1st) neither of them drive, and we are hours away from home, yet last year me and the same exact children stayed a year prior in a smaller room with smaller beds. I asked if since I was going to have to leave if I could have a partial refund he refused. I will never return to this motel again. So now I’m out $250 and had to pack up all my children including a sick one year old who is teething that I was trying to get to bed. That isn’t right to kick someone out especially with young children that late at night

I did n’t stay at the hotel but rather used the common bathroom next to my friend’s room and have never seen a cleaner bathroom anywhere!!! My friend’s room was spotless as well. I would love to have the cleaning staff come to my house 😃because of the cleanliness, if I stay at Old Orchard beach, I will stay at the Green Dolphin.

Every year, when we go to Old Orchard Beach, we stay here. It's in an excellent location, just steps from the beach and a short walk to the pier/downtown. The rooms are clean, and the heated pool is always at the right temperature. The owners are always so nice and helpful. The only issue with this hotel is that only one car is allowed per guest. Aside from this issue, we always go back each year!

Chambre et motel très propre et personnel sympathique. La piscine est un plus avec des enfants et l'emplacement est super, à quelques pas de la plage. Cependant, les lits ne sont pas confortables (matelas à changer , en forme de U, l'air climatisée faisait énormément de bruit et dites-vous que la rail de chemin de fer est collée sur motel. Plusieurs trains de jour comme de nuit passent et klaxonnent. On se faisait réveiller à minuit, 2h, 4h, 6h du matin...ce n'est pas la faute du motel, mais un client avisé saura à quoi s'attendre.
