My kids really enjoyed our stay. There are lots of activities available at this location. I cannot suggest the mini bowling alley highly enough, we all had fun! I wish the big beds were more comfortable, but the kids totally loved the bunk beds. The onsite restaurants were decent and prices were only slightly inflated, pretty much what you would expect for resort pricing. The staff is amazing and I want to give a shout out to Kim at the buffet for treating my family really well, really early in the morning 😆

This was our first GWL experience. Some general tips first:|-families start lining up at 8:30 for the water park to open at 9. By 9, the line was nearly out the front door!|-also recommend getting in line early for the ropes course|-bring your own towels on busy days. My husband waited 15-20 min for 2 towels on a Sunday afternoon||Pros - food was decent (dinner at Barnwood, breakfast buffet, lunch was pizza from Hungry as a Wolf). Aloha drink at the water park bar was delicious and strong! |-all of the activities were a lot of fun for my 6 and 9 year olds. We got the wolf pass and did everything included. Ropes course was a big hit. We also added the mining bags.|-all staff we encountered were very friendly and helpful|-free wolf ears in the shop||Cons - quiet hours don’t start until 11 PM. Walls are paper thin. We heard a tv on one side of us and a VERY loud party on the other side that went past 10 PM. Made it really hard to fall asleep.|-kids running in the halls. Parents really need to control their children. Some runners were unattended and others were. Dangerous and loud.|-unattended kids trying to cut in line. The Magiquest tasks in the big screens take a LONG time. My boys waited so patiently for their turn and a random kid tried to come up and cut. Luckily I was there to intervene.|-the Magiquest tasks in the big screens. They shouldn’t take so long and be so hard to complete! The Magiquest in general takes a bit of a learning curve at first and I wish there was a better explanation. We didn’t realize how many specific tasks had to be completed. At first we were just aimlessly pointing our wands at things. |-front desk messed up a few things with our reservation. They didn’t give us our breakfast buffet voucher and also didn’t give us the late checkout. We tried to order food on the app and it wouldn’t let us because we were “checked out”!|- when we checked into our room there was a soup bowl and spoon on the window ledge.||Overall we would likely stay here again in the future. Just need to work on a few things!

Extremely overpriced and over crowded! For more than $550 we go one night in "Family Suite" that had two beds and a pullout sofa. We had to share a community microwave next to the ice machine. It was clean and I can't speak for room service or housekeeping since we only stayed one night. The waterpark was the only thing that was included in the price. All activities (mini golf, bowling, ropes course, ECT....) Not included! All extra cost. The arcade was a scam too. Needed a card to play games. $50 lasted 15 mins. 14" pizza was $22! Packages are no real savings either. After doing the homework, you save $5-25 by purchasing the packages. So the hope is that you don't do everything included in the package deal so they make even more money off of you. The water park was overflowing with people. The wave pool was standing room only. Like being in a New York dance club. Big slides had long lines. Don't get me wrong my 4 and 7 year olds had a blast but after asking if they would like to do that again or spend a week at Massanutten it was a no brainer. My 7 year old... "Daddy it doesn't even compare!" Lol. I think the best part financially speaking, was the free parking. We won't be coming back. Way more fun and cheaper things to do in our area. Huge money pit! Best advice, bring your own snacks and alcohol. Even in the water park where there are signs posted no outside food and drink no one checks and no one enforces it don't pay $16 for a chicken sandwich, $8 for fires and 13 beers when you can bring your own food.

Location is great. They had just had flooding and did a really good job with clean-up and maintaining operations. My grandsons and their cousin had a blast. Even the big kids (adults) enjoyed all of the water slides. Clean towels are constantly available. Food was a little pricey, but that's expected. My one complaint would be that they don't accept cash anywhere in the facility... oh, and why do you need my name and phone number at a kiosk to just buy a drink!?

Fun resort! The water park was nice and clean. A little chilly but overall warm. It would have been nice if the guests had the option to enter the park an hour or two prior to the public like other themed resorts. There is only one food option in the water park with no options to customize food. We were able to get into the restaurant for a meal but sat for awhile without anyone coming to even say hi, I’ll be right with you, anything to acknowledge us. The park is cashless- that’s not mentioned anywhere on the website. Facilities that are cashless usually have a kiosk to put cash in and get a card out- that would be helpful. There is a good amount for the kids to do and it is a fairly well oiled process. The rooms are fair, would have helped to have a microwave or even a fridge that worked, but it is a basic hotel room. Overall it was a good experience. Housekeeping staff were super friendly.

GWL is great to take you family on a trip. We got a suite, it had two bedrooms and two bathrooms with a shower in both. It also had a good sized living room. The bed was very comfortable. The room was very clean and spotless. We went to the water park twice and the first time we went it was chilly but the second time it was better. They need to enforce safety rules. The dance party they had was amazing, all the kids loved it. This is definitely a kid friendly place!

The common areas and room could have been cleaner but it was tremendously busy. There should be more dining options. We couldn't get into the sit down restaurant for any meal. It was always booked. And the other fast food options were anything but fast. The app to order ahead and get notified when ready for pick up wasn't reliable. Other than that it was fun. The water park was clean and well organized. I love that there is now a location closer to home!

We were excited to try this new GWL, which is closer to our home. But sadly it did not compare to our typical GWL in Williamsburg, VA. Overall, the design lacks, starting with the exterior which looks generic (not that lodge feeling you get from the other places). At first, we were excited to see everything on one big “main street.” We also thought the ropes course was a nice, new addition. But then when we got into playing games like MagicQuest, the layout and design made the game less fun and challenging. The water park seemed smaller and like others have noted, there is no hot tub. That is a major fail. The food was about the same quality as other GWL but the staff and kitchen at the snack shack in the pool are not great. You get a text very quickly, but your food is definitely not ready. So everyone is just standing around getting frustrated. Finally, as others have stated, the interior lobby is quite cold. Again, this is a design flaw with way they set up the entrance. It creates a long draft tunnel that goes down the entire main street. We didn’t hate this place, at all, but it misses the mark a bit if you have been to other GWLs.

This slice would get a 9.1 on the Barstool rating scale. Pizza was near perfect and the cheesesteak was bomb. The guys who run the place were super nice and helpful. Great prices as well. If you're at Great Wolf Lodge, it's worth the 6 min drive.

Great food, great service - highly recommend! ATM on premises, they accept CC at the bar :) Between Cornhole, shuffle board and regular business? They ought consider an additional bartender on Friday night.
