Great Wall Restaurant - Featured Reviews (800)
This review is for the cashew chicken only. I've been loving the Great Wall food for over 30 years. I moved away for a while and when I returned I couldn't wait to get my favorite dish, Triple Delight with pan fried noodles. A friend was with me and isn't crazy about Chinese food but does very much like cashew chicken. I place the order for takeout and picked it up. Everything was hot and packaged nicely. But the cashew chicken was horrendous! It was basically a thick soupy stew-like sludge with bits of cashews and chicken stirred into it. It was a dark brown color that was incredibly off-putting, and was absolutely inedible. I went to the website and looked at the menu and saw that the picture of the cashew chicken looked exactly like what we got. What is going on Great Wall? No one makes cashew chicken like this Google pictures of cashew chicken and you will not find a single one that looks like what you are serving. We ended up throwing away the cashew chicken and my friend had to make do with a lunch meat sandwich from the fridge. I was embarrassed that I had bragged on this restaurant so much and that was what she got.
We have been ordering delivery from here for years. It does take a little longer than most delivery places but our food is still piping hot. They only forgot an item one time but fixed it the next time I ordered. I have never had a bad experience with drivers or staff.
We got the pineapple fried rice, pad Thai, chicken fried rice, sizzling rice soup and sweet and sour chicken. Everything was super tasty! The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 for service is that the waiter was not very knowledgeable on what was in each dish. Also, when they state that you should tell them about allergies and food restrictions beforehand, they aren’t kidding. I am allergic to shrimp- thankfully not horribly. The soup had shrimp in it and it didn’t mention that anywhere in the menu, so I didn’t even think to mention it.
Certainly the best sit down chinese food in Rapid, other than Pacific Rim. I enjoyed the service, cleanliness, speed, and the medium grain rice is a huge quality improvement. I was surprised at the $19 bill for one person to eat the lunch menu, which included a $3 tip and tax. The building and parking lot need improvements.
Very inconsiderate person on the phone. She would not let me finish talking and continuely cut off when I was trying to explain to her my address. She kept talking over me and talking to the other workers and laughing while I was trying to explain to her my address. Then she proceeds to tell me "I'm responsible for my own order". When she wouldn't let me finish my sentence. Very rude and disrespectful. I was a loyal customer for years but will never be going back again. Also food is always cold by the time it's delivered.
The entire order was inedible. Everything tasted like it sat out all day yesterday and they reheated it without smelling it first. The shrimp was bad and even the chicken tasted like it. The lo mein noodles were overcooked, everything that was fried was either mushy or chewy. The rice was dried out and flavorless. Half of the fried rice was white! The soy sauce packets were stuck together and covered in old dried up soy sauce. Highly disappointed. Would not recommend!
The food was good. We ordered the family style tofu and the beef ho fun. The tofu dish has fried tofu with broccoli, carrots, water chestnuts, bamboo shoots, snow peas and mushrooms. The service was very good and the restaurant was clean. The bathroom was also clean. We will be coming back :)
At first glance everything looks fine. I've purchased food here many times as I am a local. I've not ordered here in a year, but last night I picked up a Togo order here's what I got. 1. Chicken strips and fries for my son. 2. Lo mein- White rice with vegetables and chicken wings. 3. Orange chicken combo with fried rice and crab ragoon. My total was 36.74 with a 1.00 tip My orange chicken was weird... at first Glace everything looks fine. I took a bite and felt like it might be undercooked? I cut my chicken in half and it was not undercooked but it was really soft, I was expecting at least a crush or something. My fried rice was good like usual. The Crab Ragoon was also pretty good. Found a hair but I'm not sure where it came from. Maybe the chef has facial hair? It looks thick and black. The taste of the chicken was quite off so I didn't finish eating. I looked at other reviews and didn't feel like dealing with the quote "Rude staff" My son wouldn't eat his chicken strips really, but loved the fries. I'm not holding that one against Great Wall, my kid is a butthead. My boyfriend complained that he only got two pieces of fried chicken with his Lo mein but the rest was good, he finished his food.

This is definitely one of the nicest bars in Rapid City. It has a huge, new, old style bar that reaches to the ceiling, with a ladder that slides side to side so staff can get to the top shelves. And the glass shelves are beautifully stocked with an
I absolutely love visiting Black Hills Basecamp! Anytime I have to be in Rapid for work, I make sure I stop for a while. It is such a welcome reprieve from the work that I do and gives me some joy in the winter months when I can't be backpacking. Tha
Absolutely love everything about this place!!! Met them at a concert downtown where they had the food truck. They were closing but still fed 3 of us dinner and didn't seem put out about the last min guests. Few months later found the brick and mortar

We didnât expect to stumble upon an authentic Bangladeshi restaurant in Rapid city but glad we did. We called before arrival as it was close to closing time. The couple was very sweet and accommodating. We ordered Piyaju, Morog polao and rice with
Had the Muddy Berries Crepe...and OMG. nothing beats a fresh crepe with fresh fruit, Nutella, and whipped cream. Wouldn't expect this from a food court in a mall. Highly recommend. Their reeses and cream Gelato was decent as well.
My daughter had her first dance class the other day, and she was very shy and didnât do a lot of the things Miss Anna was teaching, but Miss Anna was patient with her and still tried to make her feel included. We signed our daughter up for dance cl
