GREAT VALLEY INN - Hotel in Union Gap - 12 E Valley Mall Blvd, USA

Was recommended this place, as I was visiting from Seattle. Rooms were clean and service was quick and attentive. Front desk was friendly and staff was very responsive to any questions I had at any time which I appreciate. I believe they are under renovations right now so they are upgrading furnitures and appliances. I am a bit nit-picky when it comes to cleanliness; my room was clean, fresh towels, mattress and pillows were comfy, no noise from other guests and AC adjusted very quickly. Considering prices and quality in the area, this is the best in the area, and i also lucked out as they are in the middle of renovations. Free WiFi and coffee in the lobby. Location is convenient; highway is close, Texas Roadhouse just opened and is right across the street, drugstores and restaurants were close by. Also they are right next to a gas station so it was convenience to walk over to grab some things. Overall, service was professional and accommodating, will come back when I visit!

We were given room 105. The carpet was disgusting - stains, ground in stuff(?), and it smelled like cigarettes. We asked for another room & given 115. It had a wood floor and was much cleaner. There are many long-term residents here. The kitchen was closed for “remodeling” although I saw no work being done, but the room had a micro & fridge. There are a few restaurant options across the street and a mall.

We were traveling through and stayed on the way to Port Angeles and the way back. Both times were really good. I do wish the parking was a little better but it's not enough to be horrible. We will be back next time we come through again.

An overnight stop in Yakima on our way to Colorado... booked a king room on the ground floor. Excellent rate and an outstanding bed! When I told the desk clerk the next morning that it was very comfortable she told me that every king mattress on the property was brand new. Noise from upper floors was not too bad, but a newer property might have been quieter.||Complimentary breakfast was above average with excellent coffee and ample room for us. We would stay here again and have no problem recommending it

This place charges over a hundred dollars a night. It was not good enough for the homeless that were living there. They should be embarrassed.|I have pictures of this place. They do offer a microwave, but it's broke. They built a hotel with no heat or air conditioning, so they cut a hole in the rear wall and put in a window unit. The toilet hadn't been cleaned well in quite some time. You can see out of the front door, with it closed. There was a large rock on the floor. There was a large, disgusting clump of hair in the bed. The fridge smelled. The door was covered in cobwebs. There were so webs and spider looking nests in the vanity area. The window didn't lock, they took one of the plastic rods from the curtains and put it in the window, as an attempt to keep it closed. The smoke detector was ripped out of the wall, wires were left hanging and I found the smoke detector on the TV.|Poor excuse for a hotel/motel.|Take some of the money you took from us and fix it up or shut it down.

Quality inn, Yakima-Union Gap Washington. Let me start by saying that I am a diamond member with the choice hotels. I work on cellphone towers and visit 3 to 12 different towers a day. I stay upwards of 280 nights in hotels a year. I typically stay in a different hotel every night but have stayed 10 to 20 nights in almost every Choice Hotel in the Pacific Northwest. This hotel has 80 to 100 rooms from a quick tally from the parking lot and there is one guest washing machine and one guest dryer. So I was very happy to see them vacant at 8:15 pm on a Wednesday night as the temperature here has been 90+ the last week. So I get to the machines and out poops a man from a door inside the laundry room where I assume he's staying for trade to do some work around the hotel as he was carrying paint buckets. He stopped me in my tracks to inform me that the laundry room closes @8pm. Ticked off I call the office and inquired about the guest laundry. The person in the office said they they were out of order. So I asked are they out of order or closed because the guy living in the door inside the laundry room said they were closed at 8pm. The office person said they were out of order because the laundry room is getting painted. Such BS I'm staying away from this hotel in the future they could careless about the needs of their guests and cater to their homeless friends. This hotel has changed management 3 times in the past year and they still haven't gotten it right. The Choice Hotel brand needs to come in here and train the Manager and employees of their policies or dump this hotel from it's brand. I'm beginning to get fed up with the Choice Hotels in general, you never know what you might get when you make that reservation online. Do yourself a favor and stay at the Holiday inn, or Hilton unless you like surprises and inconsistencies. I didn't get recognised as a diamond member so what's the point of loyalty. Going to wash some clothes in the tub for work tomorrow. Thank you Quality inn Yakima!!!

Stayed for 1 night as I rolled into town for a conference. Hotel was everything I needed. I requested a first floor room as I have a bad knee and that's what I got. I booked my room online a couple weeks in advance. Staff was nice and helpful. The room was all in working order, internet was good, bed was comfortable with lots of pillows which I like. Property felt safe and was pretty well lit. I would stay here again.
