Love going there. Everyone is very friendly and knowledgeable. Love it.
Vantage Point Farmers Market is a great spot to find local vendors on Saturday mornings. And keep your eyes open for a passing freighter!
Such a unique place to visit. The artifacts inside found by scuba divers are interesting. The women inside are very informative. I love going there and just sitting along the side walk and watching the freighters go by, and hearing one of the ladies pop up on the audio system explaining all the details and information about the boats passing by. Plus they have farmers markets in the parking lot with all of great goodies. The boat tour is fun as well!!!
Very nice place to sit and watch ships on the St. Clair River. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating is available on the premises. Volunteers are knowledgeable about the ships and friendly to converse with. They will also make announcements with information on the ships passing by. Definitely worth a visit.
This is a nice spot to visit and has a great view of St Clair River and the lake freighters going by. There is a lot of local history and Maritime displays of Great Lakes shipping and shipwrecks in the local area. The snack bar has good food and there are friendly volunteers who also share a lot of local history.
Its a hidden gem love this place, you can walk, take a bath if u bring you swimsuit in summer time and there is also a litte coffe shop so you enjoy the view of boats passing by,also outside there is a small food truck bring cash 😍😍😍
The maritime center is filled with information pertaining to the history of water travel along the Black River and the Port Huron bridge. Fortunate enough to be there during a farmer's market. They have paved river walk in park setting .
What a great place to visit to learn about the ships which travel up and down the St Claire River.

Great little piece of history. The volunteers do an excellent job of telling this ships and other related stories. If you're lucky you'll hear an air horn salute and response from a passing freighter.

Grew up in this neighborhood, and it is nice to see the improvements. I didn't know they put in a small splash pad, which really turned our park hopping day around. It was great!
Very nice views and it's so close to the border of Canada. Lucky to witness big steamers/vessels and also lifting of bridge for smaller ones to pass thru.. Don't forget to take bug sprays during summer.
