This is a humble place that, however, is super-clean, well-maintained, and has everything one needs. I found its summer high-season price to be a lot lower than the competition. Yet my quiet room had a large bathroom, TV, microwave, refrigerator, and air conditioning. I mistakenly left two items behind and the motel owner promptly mailed them back to me at home, charging only the postage. Just wonderful!

This humble property close to downtown Sequim offers everything one might want: large bathroom, TV, microwave, refrigerator, air conditioning, and quiet. Yet its prices are much lower than the competition! The rooms are spotless and well maintained. The owner even returned to me by mail two items I mistakenly left behind, charging only postage. A real "find."

My friend booked this room for my 30th birthday trip. The reviews seemed promising with the price since the area was a bit expensive, however, it was extremely dirty. I looked through the reviews ( I didn't before because I trusted my friend with booking). At first it looks great but there is an odd number that says "clean", but sprinkled in are reviews like what we experienced. Went to take a shower when we first entered and my feet almost turned black from the floors. All towels and sheets had stains, all different colors. The room was non smoking but everything had a hint of smoke smell and some towels were mostly gray when they were supposed to be white. We had black spots all over all of our pillows and stink of mold (hard to get pictures because there wasn't any good light source to get the tiny spots), mattresses had stains. We had this weird air unit that made it impossible to close the window curtains so we had bright light all night and people walking by could see in. The power strip didn't work on all outlets only 1, which was difficult with 3 people. The beds only had a decorative cover and a tiny bed sheet, we didn't trust the cover so only had a tiny stained sheet to sleep with. They had extra blankets but they were stained too. We didn't ask for new sheets or anything because we figured they would all be stained, which proved to be true when we got new towels and they took were all stained. It looks like the toilet hadn't been cleaned in a long time either. Curtains are hung up with thumb tacks, one fell out and my friend almost stepped on it. The beds were so stiff it was extremely difficult to sleep. It didn't help the walls were thin and I could hear everyone next door and outside all night long. My friend tried to be nice and say they are new owners and are paying for things as they can... A new big TV with stations that didn't work shouldn't be the priority, cleaning and new sheets should be. Also I saw the owners response to negative comments and it didn't seem nice or didn't address concerns. Please prioritize your cleaning, even if you are short staffed, I felt gross my whole stay and wouldn't recommend it to others.

It was very reasonably priced, great value. We had a comfortable king bed in a large, bright room with outside space that had chairs and a table. AC was a portable, with the hose through the window. It worked but it was noisy. Motel was easy to get to.

It was a descent place tomstay that wasnt extraordinarily expensive. Staying in Motels while traveling for multiple days 1000s miles can be expensive and this hotel was a good choice for those who enjoy the outdoor attraction of the PNW. Staff were accomodating and helpful. The rooms were not horrible and do need some updated touches, but the price and proximity to the locations we were visiting did make this an affordable choice.

Bathroom sink smelled like mold - I would have mentioned it, but since the front desk clerk had just checked, I didn't think he'd believe me. Felt like he was constantly watching me, so he could kick me out for not following the rules. Water was unclear. (Turbidity in warm water is common, but cold water also had particulates. Is this the city's water?) Room had empty space, but felt cramped. A better layout might let it feel less cramped, using the space behind the bathroom door for the fridge, and swapping table and dresser. Rooms 37 and 38 can see room 24's toilet. Building is so old (1920s) that the bathroom light switch is on the outside of the bathroom. Needs electrical renovation because 3 power strips that keep popping its fuse is borderline unsafe. Boiling water with a 1500 watt kettle took several pops each morning. Business sign only visible for eastbound drivers, and even then is easy to miss. I navigated from Moses Lake to Sequim without using a phone, but had to use a phone to find this location within the city. Best way to find is to look for the Ocean Star hotel, and this place is across the intersection ("kitty-corner"). Extremely walkable. 2 blocks from a grocery store, downtown shops less than a mile, and more stuff beyond. Great for urban hiking. Most stores are closed on weekends and/or Mondays. Not a lot to do other than visit the 2 State parks nearby (one is hard to get to). Fun stuff is in other cities. Boomers are going to take this city with them. It's an Indian family business, but it seems like only one speaks English. Sometimes they sit with their infant in the smoking area near the road - which is great, but where do smokers go then? Phone number on the door is disconnected. If you have a problem at night, you're on your own. No housekeeping - I don't remember if they asked. No doormat inside so my muddy shoe prints were there though my stay. Room had 2 heaters - one with a broken fan, and the other kept popping the power strip fuse. A/C wasn't plugged in, so when it went from cold to hot outside I was sweltering. I'd recommend glamping at one of the State Parks instead of here - you'll get about the same experience, with less judgement, and cleaner water.

Rooms are older but very clean. Staff was very nice. Price was very reasonable. We had reserved a room but when we got there, the owner upgraded our room for the same price. Would definitely stay again.

The new owners made us feel very welcome. They are working hard to update this reasonably-priced motel and asked us to contact them immediately if anything was wrong that they could fix. In our room, the bed was comfortable and our sleep was good. It was quiet and peaceful. I left an item and it was returned it to me right away—lovely!

This was a great lunch after hiking this morning. We went on a Sunday and it was breakfast only. I had the quiche, which changes daily, it was broccoli & cheddar today. We also had a bear Pancake and a bacon omelette. The toast and jam was incredible

Had an amazing dinner here with my husband who is gluten intolerant. What a free experience for him to not worry about anything on the menu and just freely choosing what looks the most delicious. Service/Staff were so personable and wondeful. Drinks
