The best wine bar in the city! Relaxed atmosphere, good music and exceptional service! Oh and delicious dinner menu to accompany wine. If one doesn’t feel like drinking, have a house made lemonade! Outdoor and indoor seating available!
Came on a late Saturday afternoon - lovely sitting outdoors to enjoy the fall weather. I wish there were more selections of wines that were available by the glass, but great service and really enjoyed the relaxed environment. Burrata was okay, but really enjoyed the charcuterie board, and the grilled bread was amazing. Got a glass of the orange wine, some sparkling and a rose, all of which were good. Prices a little high, as is the case with most places in this area. Would recommend checking it out.
My friends and I had a great experience here. The ambiance and decor is spot on and a very welcomed change from the rest of the bars and restaurants in Southie. Because there were 6 of us, we shared most of the menu which I would recommend doing so you can try various dishes. Eggplant isn't usually something I order, but it was one of my favorite dishes we had. Would highly recommend getting this. The other group favorites were the Grays Board, Yukon Potatoes, Rock Shrimp and Steak Frites. The wine selections were also extensive and delicious although it's been a few months since we went so I don't remember what we ordered. We took the recommendations from our waiter for the wine. Looking forward to heading back there when it's reopened!
This place was so incredible! Completely agree with others who say it’s a welcome change in Southie. So many restaurants in the area are so LOUD and not my vibe anymore as a 30 something with a kiddo. The wine here was on point as was the burrata, tuna tar tar, mussels and bluefish. Oh and don’t skip dessert!! Cheesecake was delicious and refreshing on a hot summer night!
Not photographed - chicken Milanese, burrata, Yukon potatoes, and Brussels sprout salad. My second time here. Gray’s is a delicious wine bar/restaurant. The food is delicious and fresh. I preferred the chicken milanese of everything I had but overall everything else was so good.
What an awesome experience, from beginning to end. We sat outside, in gorgeous weather, and enjoyed a few bottles of lovely crisp white wine. The servers were chill, the food came quickly, and everything was delicious! We all loved the pretzels with pimento cheese and really horseradish-y mustard. For the vegetarians amongst us, the zucchini was a delicious surprise. Hard to do that really well, but we really enjoyed it! The burrata and ricotta cheese toasts were just perfect. Everyone was so welcoming of my 16 month old daughter, despite some witching-hour fussing. And what a very chill atmosphere! I only went inside to use the bathroom, but it’s a lovely space inside, and I felt extra safe knowing that people are vaccinated. Gray’s Hall, you have made some new fans!
Great wine bar and restaurant - staff are super friendly and the food and drinks are great. They focus on organic/natural wines and have a lot of very interesting stuff I've not had elsewhere. Came here for dinner on my own without a reservation and waited an hour for a spot, but very glad I did because it was well worth it. I spent a while chatting to the chef and a few of the guys working there - they were all super friendly and made sure I had a great time. 10/10 place, you should visit (but probably better to make sure you book to avoid a wait)
Gray's Hall gets points in my book for being so new and knocking it out of the park so early on. I came here with 2 friends on a Friday night and waited about an hour to be seated. But our waiting experience was fantastic. They have plenty of space to hang out, drink and order apps while you wait. Then we were seated at the bar for dinner. We ordered the board, eggplant, feta, smoked salmon pate, winter citrus dessert and all were amazing!!!! The wine recommendations were spot on and the vibe here is chill but trendy. We stayed for almost 3 hoUrs and didn't want to leave. Can't wait to come back!
