Fantastic uncomplicated little coffee shop with an excellent coffee and tea selection. I absolutely appreciate their commitment to eco-friendliness with the use of paper cups, and it's evident they encourage patrons to bring their reusable ones – a definite plus!
Free wifi is adequate but slows with congestion. AT&T and T-mobile Hotspot works well here.
If you are gluten intolerant, gluten free or celiac, there are no gluten free options for the small selection of baked goods that look really scrumptious.
However, I must mention that the music can get a tad too loud for holding a phone conversation. This might not be the ideal spot for conducting business or interviews due to the noise level. But if you're here for a more social experience and want to immerse yourself in your own world, consider bringing headphones or snag a table outside.
The vibe here boasts an industrial blend of rustic and urban elements, featuring warm maple tables, bars, benches, and cool steel stools, There are also some convenient spots to plug in and charge up your devices. It almost feels like a cozy corner of a college common area, all tied together with a concrete floor and white-washed brick walls. The spacious bathrooms are well-equipped with changing tables and even cell phone holders, so scroll on while sitting on the loo.
In summary, it's a great place if you're looking for a relaxed atmosphere to simply enjoy the company of others without diving deep into work. Whether you're catching up with a friend or soaking in the outdoor scene while sipping on a delightful brew, this place has a lot to offer.
The latte here deserves 10 stars. The frothed milk gets its own stars. When we are in CH, I go here twice in a day. Coffee is smooth and nutty and without that burned, bitter taste you often find. Nice indoor and outdoor seating area.
My new favorite coffee shop in Carrboro. Oat Milk Latte is divine. Couple with a delicious vegan peanut butter cup is even better! Service is great and the joint is very modern and inviting.
My first impression was that they have a lot of seating and plenty of space. The baristas and FOH staff were friendly and well-informed about the menu. I got a flat white and my friend got a decaf latte. We both thought the espresso was very high quality and milk was frothed perfectly!
I will come back!
Great college town coffee shop! Had the Main Street Americana and it was delightful. Very tasty roast. The baristas here are very knowledgeable and provide great service. The inside seating area is not the most comfortable, but it is trendy and looks cool. To be clear, all hard seating - no cushioned seating. There were lots of people there when I visited and the lines seemed almost continuous but moved fast. Casual and easy listening music played. Soft. Not too loud - Classic coffee shop style. You’ll probably like this place unless you just hate trendy. No gender specific bathrooms.
Great lavender latte and cappuccino. Tasty scone, good for meeting friends or working. Friendly staff and welcoming atmosphere.
I've been on the hunt for a new coffee place in Carrboro. I came across gray squirrel recently and to be quite frank, it's super mid. I noticed the heavier man kept touching his face while making my drink. Immediately, I was turned off. Coffee itself tasted like it was watered down and burnt, so that was disappointing. Honestly I would pass on this again. Customer service also could have been better. Baristas didn't seem that friendly. Just super average place. Personally, I feel like open eye is better! Also the bathroom wasn't the cleanest.
This place was so cute and the espresso was bold and delicious. I loved the housemade lavender syrup in my latte as well. My favorite place about this establishment is that they support a living wage for their employees. I asked how I could leave a tip and the employee at the counter told me they didn't accept them and that they were well taken care of. Such a breath of fresh air to hear that! Will definitely be coming back.
