Beautiful building that is up to date on style and amenities and what you would expect at a nice hotel. It is 100 years old but you cannot tell with how it looks or smells inside. Service was great. The room was large. The water pressure and temp were great. All staff were friendly and helpful. The location is great, a lot that you can walk to easily from the hotel. We are definitely staying here again.
I just happened on this gem and I was very fortunate. I stayed two nights and I had the greatest room. It was beautiful, super clean and a great view. The staff there are exceptional, very friendly Very helpful. One night for dinner I had the prime rib. WOW!
I enjoyed my stay. Staff is friendly and the restaurant is nice. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The towels and robes are soft. I liked the hotel very much and the location. However, the ac/heat system is very loud. My first room was so loud, I asked someone in the hotel to come and listen. The reception person agreed and changed my room with an upgrade. Great service. I would stay again, but if you are sound sensitive, I just wanted to share this observation.
I have visited the Granville Inn many times over the years, and have always enjoyed the time that I have spent there as a dining room and bar guest during business and social trips to Granville. I feel that I must write this review as I am deeply saddened by the alterations that the current management (and ownership) has made to an historic building now celebrating its hundredth anniversary. The elimination of the beautiful period lighting fixtures in favor of cookie-cutter modern fixtures more befitting a new chain hotel is an outrage! Mixing modern, formless furniture in period spaces only tends to make these once-proud spaces look bad. I know that the beautiful original fixtures have not been mothballed for use by future generations, but have instead been carelessly tossed away because I bought brass sconces of extreme high quality that once adorned Granville Inn walls for $5.00 each at Columbus Architectural Salvage. The designers who have reinterpreted these spaces have failed miserably. Many of my friends in Granville feel the same as I do and have called to tell me of the latest changes. As Granville is a small town, they are hesitant to speak up and embarrass friends at Denison University and throughout the community. Many are perplexed and saddened by the decorative changes at the Inn. In the 21st century, preservation is a vital way to bring new interest to historic places. The Granville Inn does not deserve this!
Granville is a neat college town. This restaurant was nice. The food was very good. I had a salad. Being able to eat outside was nice.
Really starting to slip. Used to be the industry standard, something has happened. Food was served cold, undercooked, service left much to be desired, watered down way overpriced drinks. Appetizers were....truck stop quality. What happened??
Great place for fancy banquets. Food is outstanding and it is beautiful. 100 years old and the architecture is superb. Rooms are VERY expensive
By far a better experience in the restaurant since last year with many very good and well prepared entrees. The halibut with couscous was delicious and care was taken with a serious allergy. Also, we had a very good server. A really beautiful and not at all pretentious dining experience I’d highly recommend. The inn rooms are very attractive and comfortable but I do wish there was at least a refrigerator. I’ll be back again and do look forward to visiting.

The bio reserve is my go to for trail running. If you want low elevation change the south side trails are best. The north side trails provide more elevation change. The nature is always abundant. Pileated woodpecker in the picture. Deer and squirrels
Cool place to visit. The lake is very calm and perfect for those learning to kayak or use a small boat. Take a walk in the woods, the trails are easy and the view inside is amazing. There is a trail with fairy houses which my daughter was very excit
Nourishing, delicious food served with care! Great selection of sandwiches, salads, deli sides, and treats. Canât go wrong with the trio of deli salads; all are delicious! Service is fantastic and they offered seating in a sunny dining room of the
Great cidery. If you like traditional English cider and not the overly sweetened cider that dominates most of the U.S. market, this is the place to go. The Farmhouse cider was amazing.
Palumboâs Italian Market has been a Granville Staple for such a long time. I personally am a big fan of their lasagna. Everything tastes fresh and well prepared. If looking for some Italian cuisine I highly recommend stopping in and visiting these
Three Tigers Brewing is located in Downtown Granville. Itâs such a cute town with so many places to walk between. They offer craft cocktails & craft house brewed beer. We tried the Lavender Whiskey Sour & Juice Bazooka IPA. We were both happy with
Visited via the T.J Evans Trail which is a heck of a nice feature. On a nicer day, the outdoor seating looks to be a treat. The brick pavers give it a great look. On a Saturday late morning they were plenty busy. Counter service was efficient and
