Granny's Southern Smokehouse - Barbecue restaurant in St Cloud - 818 Pennsylvania Ave, USA

Great food served with a smile. We got there just in the nick of time. We didn’t realize that they close early on Sunday and we literally made it there 5 minutes before they closed. They were kind enough to let us sit inside while they did their closing clean up. The fried gizzards were really good. The brisket is flavorful and the ribs were tender and falling off the bones. It’s a bit far from the touristy parts of Orlando but well worth a visit if you like bbq. The sides were really good, the fried green tomatoes came out crispy and hot. The fried pickles were great and the fried okra hit the spot.

Found this place by chance and wow couldn’t have been luckier. The best food I’ve had in a while with a true southern and family spirit. friendly service, tasty food, big portions and homely ambiance. If i lived closeby i would probably come every day.

A local hidden gem! My husband’s pork ribs were huge and SO meaty!! No sauce needed, but definitely improved with the sauce. I ended up getting the pulled pork sandwich after much deliberation and was NOT disappointed!!! This place is a MUST HAVE!!! They sell out if you wait too long for dinner! Service was also great, they constantly checked on us and made sure we were all good.

We happen to be in Florida for the Mecum Auto Auction and found this little barbecue restaurant. The food was absolutely phenomenal! My friend and I had the brisket, pulled pork, smoked chicken, along with their delicious sides, and everything was INCREDIBLE!! Barbecue like this in Los Angeles would've been twice the price and not as good! Jay, the owner, chef, etc. could not have been nicer, and his cousin, who is a teacher during the day, was the one who served and brought our food. We didn't even get to try their ribs, which apparently is the number one thing they are known for, but we will be back this weekend!!

Delicious! Visited the Orlando area and wanted to try somewhere new. Staff was super nice and helpful. The place was clean and had a nice home feeling. We ordered spare ribs with fries, pulled pork sandwich with corn fritters and mac & cheese, and pulled chicken sandwich with corn casserole and mac & cheese. The corn bread and homemade sweet tea are a must. Highly recommend.

We wanted to try a BBQ place that we have not been to. We loved this place!! I had the half order of pork ribs with Mac and cheese and fried 🌽. The seasoning was perfect, and the ribs fell off the bone!! My boyfriend had the Sgt Howard's special with pulled pork and chicken with corn nuggets and Cole slaw. Yummy! We loved it and will enjoy the leftovers too!! We even said it's been so long since we have had Great BBQ. It's a southern Florida home with charm! Everyone who works there is polite and happy to help. I'm not sure how long it's been there, but we definitely will be back with friends!!

Made the drive from Longwood to try this place out and so glad we did. The food is top notch, probably the best BBQ in Orlando. We tried the deserts, the brisket, the wings, and the ribs. All were fantastic. I highly recommend the beans, they are top notch! We also tried three of the deserts, they did not disappoint. It's a drive but one worth making we will return again.

Really loved the welcoming and pleasant environment. The staff were incredibly helpful and not only assisted with the menu but also checked in on me regularly to see how I was doing. I felt like the restaurant itself was very relaxing and down to earth. It seemed as though you stepped into a good ol' hole in the wall barbecue spot off the beaten path somewhere out in the country. The music selection was great too, lots of classic soul and r&b tunes to enjoy while dining. I absolutely loved the sides, and although I felt a bit small, they were prepared fantastically and were the highlight of the trip. I tried the fried green tomatoes and Mac and cheese, which I highly recommend. They were to die for. Unfortunately, although really well prepared as far as being tender and moist, the meat (great portion size for the price, by the way) did not do it for me. I found the seasoning to be very sweet for my taste on the ribs and chicken. I tend to be a salty and savory barbecue fan and an avid lover of mustard style barbecue for the vinegary, tangyness, which I find to pair well with smoky, meaty goodness. To put it plainly, it was not really my style, but I can respect what they're doing. All in all, I felt they did an incredible job, and although not my preference, I would recommend you try them out yourself!
