Granite City Food & Brewery - American restaurant in Schaumburg - 801 Plaza Dr, USA

I went here last weekend for dinner. It was not too crowded. We got a table real quick and it didn’t take much time to get the food too. The crispy Asian shrimp taco was delicious and it tasted sweet. The tacos were really big and the shrimp nicely seasoned! I loved it! Also tried the impossible burger and it tasted good too. Out of office drink was amazing! Overall it was a nice place to hangout with friends and not too noisy.

This place sucks! They don’t clean the tables. Even though it’s a buffet they take so long to get you your drinks. If you’re looking for a place to have brunch I would not recommend. Also the Mac and cheese has hair in it. The bathrooms smell horrible and the sink is broken. Half of the bacon is under cooked and the French toast is very soggy. The staff was giving us dirty looks! There should be a bigger variety's,mostly everyone in my group got the same thing. My freind went to grab another plate and there was food at the bottom of it THEY DONT CLEAN THERE PLATES. I don’t recommend you and your family coming here do better Granite city!🙄

The food was pretty good... however, the barstools were ripped and in bad need of replacement. Suprising to see such a lack of care on atmosphere when there are so many other restaurants in the area.

UPDATE: Visited again in Sept 2023...Same experience as before. Friendly staff, great food but...extra 15 unnecessary minutes at the end waiting for check. We finally visited this place to try out their food and beer. We had a really good experience. The hostess and waitress were nice, helpful and friendly. All of our food was really good. The fries for my wife were a bit overdone and the number of waffle fries (upgrade charge) were on the low side. The waitress did slow down visiting us after we received our food which extended the time we spent there. We will be going back the next time we are in the area

First visit to Granite City today for lunch, I'm likely to return. Nice facility, great employees, good menu variety, and nice atmosphere. Everyone felt their meals were good and fairly priced. Conversation was actually possible, something that seems to be increasingly rare. We had a good time.

I was in Schaumburg on business and discovered Granite City on google and decided to give it a try and I’m happy I did. Justine and Chops behind the bar provided excellent service and were helpful with the beers they brew on site. I had the chicken tortilla soup and pot roast for dinner and couldn’t be more satisfied. Perhaps this stop was the best part of my business trip, five stars!

Food came out cold and instead of medium it was very clearly on the rare side. There was a bug in our water and it was nearly impossible to get a waiter to come back and remedy the issues. Spent over an hour here for awful service and unhygienic conditions.

We weren't sure they were open because it took 3 phone calls at 8:45 pm on a Wednesday night for someone to answer the phone. They're open until 10:00 pm. The restaurant has that Yard House restaurant inspired decor without all the sports monitors at every turn. Comfy contemporary. The restrooms are clean as well. We didn't expect the food to be the focus around a brewery, but we're pleasantly surprised. The menu has pastas, burgers and salads. We opted for the pasta special. It takes $3-4.00 off the menu price and includes a nice sized salad. No side selection when choosing the specials. The only thing I would say is, pasta is cheap. When a plate out sizes the serving, it looks like a kids meal. Our server, Dean, was great! And so was the iced-tea. The food is grilled over a fire- not fried and was served warm. The garlic bread wasn't too bad either. For 2 people, our meal cost $31.00+ tip. You won't walk away hungry. Perhaps the music volume could be toned down a little bit. The genre seemed all over the place. It didn't seem to fit the decor. The clientele seems to be a more mature, business crowd. We'll be back!
