Grandpa's Castles - Bed & breakfast in Conneaut - 884 Main St, USA

We absolutely loved our stay at Grandpa's Castle! We had the pleasure of staying in the pool house, which offered a spacious room with a cozy fireplace, a comfortable queen bed, and well-maintained restrooms with a shower and sauna. The highlight of the pool house was definitely the loft area, featuring a king bed and a breathtaking copper double slipper tub. The attention to detail in the woodwork throughout the main home is truly exceptional and adds to the overall charm and character of the place. The breakfast provided at Grandpa's Castle is simply fantastic. We thoroughly enjoyed everything, especially the mouthwatering waffles, delightful parfait, and the refreshing grapefruit. Lastly, we cannot praise Dale and Sheila enough for being such warm and welcoming hosts. They went above and beyond to ensure our stay was enjoyable and comfortable. Overall, our experience at Grandpa's Castle was outstanding, and we highly recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable and delightful bed and breakfast getaway.

Beautiful! Host was wonderful! He gave us a historical tour. Time well spent. Clean, decorative, comfortable, and worth the trip. Late August there was a festival at the lake. Sunset a mile away on the shores of the Lake. The pool cottage was amazing.

This is a truly great experience for anyone staying in Conneaut. My wife and I stayed in the main house and my daughter and grandchildren stayed in the pool house. The accommodations in both were perfect and the breakfasts were great. Highly recommend.

This was the best B & B I've ever stayed at. Don't hesitate, just book it. The owners are warm and welcoming. The rooms are exquisite and clean. The beds are dressed in premium bedding and pillows. Everything is decorated to the period of the house. I stayed here with my two little girls and their dad. The night was quiet and each room has its own bathroom with shower. Breakfast was absolutely delicious as my children had fresh raspberries, assorted fruit, cereals, cookies, scrambled eggs sausage etc. Very formal dining with an intimate casual feel. Dale (Grandpa) is a US Veteran and we were extremely proud to support his small business. Thank you again. I recommend this B&B to anyone that appreciates a 5 star experience you won't get anywhere else!

We booked the Stevens suite but the poolhouse was available when we arrived. It was perfect for our family of 4. The kids loved being next to the large pool, which Dale made sure was cleaned and heated before we planned to use. The adults loved the space (lots of it!), including a living space with a kitchen, 2 toilet rooms, a rain shower room, a dry sauna, and (in the upstairs loft bedroom) a huge antique tub for soaking. Dale and Sheila were gracious hosts and gave us a tour of the rooms in the main house. All were lovely, but we were still glad they had the poolhouse available.

We were in Conneaut for an anniversary getaway, and stayed at Grandpa's Castle for 3 nights. The beauty and history of this remarkable home is so well-preserved. Dale and Sheila are wonderful hosts, with great attention to detail. Breakfast was delicious and elegant without being too "frou-frou". You can relax in your room, by the pool, or on the front porch. They give nice recommendations for places to dine in town or nearby. We will definitely be back to stay again.

I loved loved loved our stay. The breakfast was great as well as the atmosphere of the house. The owners are wonderful and it is a great place to stay. Beds are comfy everything is spotless. Can’t wait to go back!
