They have some really good pizza! And I’m from New York so I’m really specific about my pizza. I got the mushroom deep dish (wish was amazing and was a large serving size even though it was a medium) and my girlfriend got the chile bar pizza, and from the bites I stole from her, it was tasty and seasoned very nicely. My friend got the Hawaiian deep dish, and since it was her second time getting it, I’m going to assume it was good. I also got a frozen espresso martini. I’ve never had an espresso martini so I can’t speak on the authenticity, but it tasted like a milkshake. Regardless, it was really good. I’d definitely come again to try a new slice.
I love the service and the options here. We went 2 days in a row. We loved the pizza the first day! And it wasn't made quite the same way the second day. I would still return and try different slices. The white mushroom pizza was pretty good. The supreme the first day was amazing - the second day had way more sauce and wasn't as crispy.
Had the Sausage and Pistachio, one of the BEST pizzas I have EVER had. Just wonderfully balanced and high quality ingredients. The Big Mack was wonderful as well, and convincingly mimimicked the Big Mac but made it somehow great which was an amazing trick because its a vegan pizza. Mushroom only ok -- needed some lift. I was also really impressed with the cocktails.
Pizza was good, I think it may be a little over-hyped, it wasn't "amazing". We sat at the bar, and service was good. We don't care for the cafeteria style seating, we prefer having our own table, so we were happy to get a seat at the end of the bar. Overall a nice place, but not our favorite pizza. Parking was kind of a pain, we had to park down the street a bit.
After tasting six of their pizzas, the consensus is the deep dish pizza is a winner. The crust tastes Detroit style.

Been meaning to try this one for a while and it met the hype! The dough was surprisingly light and fluffy for the Detroit style deep dish. The spicy pepperoni was a star and the sausage and pistachio was unexpected and tasty with some extra crunch from the pistachios. Cashew caesar was enjoyed by all in the group too!
This is my favorite pizzeria in Detroit they have the most innovative ideas when it comes to pizzas the vegan options are amazingly put together they even have vegan ice cream, to say the most and never the least the I totally recommend this even if your not vegan or plant based like myself it’s also a bar with boozy milkshakes and shots if you want cocktails or mocktails for the drinkers and the customer service is top shelf they are like family and friends of mine I’m a regular here and I find myself here at least 3x a month so go get your pizza fix and as always save me some.
They had an amazingly delicious vegan pesto pasta salad and we got the vegan deep dish supreme pizza (no green olives). We enjoyed the deep dish here more than at Pie-sci. Definitely recommend this place and grab a shake too.

Mootz Pizzeria is the best Italian food you could ask for. My girlfriend and I adore coming here. BEST garlic knots in the world! Amazing pizza and pasta! The servers are friendly and engaging as well.
