Grand View Motel Williston - Featured Reviews (41)
This is an older motel. Rooms are basic by modern standards without fridge or microwave. ||||Positively the room was clean, beds were comfortable, air conditioning effective, and lots of hot water. WiFi was excellent.||||The price was exceptionally low and the owner charming and helpful. It was great for a one night stay.
Don't know what the neg is. Front desk manager very hospitable......got a small room for 1 for under $40. My room was outdated but in a cool kinda way. Bathroom clean...great shower...comfortable bed. Super great free WIFI.....nice TV with lots of channels. Plenty of room for big truck parking.walking distance to cool new restaurant. Next time here I will be back.Great night sleep....very peaceful.
Worst place to stay in Williston i rather sleep in my truck.. The owner is a cheap greedy backstabbing Bastard. I should know a did a little work for him when i stayed there.. Tried to Get cheap labor out of everyone he could. One time there was a little mini fridge full of rotten meat or what i thought was meat.. Not sure what the hell it was but made me clean it so he can put it back in a room... The smell was unbearable. I literally threw up.. Even after i hosed it down and scrubbed it with soap and bleach it still smelled horrible but the owner didn't care he said just put it in the room.. Do not stay here if i were you id stay somewhere where you'd pay a little more. Thus place has just got to be the worst
Y stay was horrible.. the plumbing is atrocious sinks overfilled and start filling with other peoples rooms fill the toilets are constantly falling apart they are not stuck to the floor they wobble the rooms are peeling apart and my daughter didn’t even latch so all of my belongings were left unattended without a locking door. then after addressing these things the hotel manager kicked me out without a valid reason He was very rude and Verbally aggressive and failed to provide me a reason as to why I was being told to leave.
I read the reviews, then called anyway, hoping for some decent rates or for some above and beyond customer service indicating that changes had been made and that this is viable. First, their rates must've gone up drastically. I was quoted $179 for a single room. :-O When I expressed friendly surprise (I've seen pictures of the motel...) the female on the other end was quite snotty about asking me if I knew where I was calling and took pleasure in telling me that most motels in Williston are over $300. (YES, that's what she told me!!) I was pleased to find out that was NOT the truth! Please call Motel 6 and one of the friendly ladies there will provide you with a clean, modern room and friendly atmosphere with a modest price! For budget-priced motels in Williston I called ALL of them and was quoted everything from $86 to $130. Call around and read the reviews....
Do not stay here. To begin, I was told it was a non smoking motel. LIE. The room smelled so badly of cigarette smoke that I gagged. The employee took offense and glared angrily at me when I told him I would not be staying there because of the smell and the uncleanliness of the place, and so he sent someone to the room with a can of aerosol spray to cover the smell. PLEASE. The place was also really dirty. When I stated that I would not be staying there, I ran into headache after headache trying to get my money back. The employee could have cared less. Expedia was even worse. In all, I spent 45 minutes at the front desk trying to armwrestle my $101.28 (the price for one night) back and it was ridiculous. Then my money was not returned to until 3 days later. It was such a poor experience and while I realize that there are not many options in Williston, this was just unacceptable.
This place is vile beyond belief. We checked in to find our room had no windows, no air conditioner and no fan. In July. Next we found blood on the sheets. Okay, time to split. We left after being told we would not be charged. We were charged the full amount and like a previous reviewer went through an enormous hassle trying to get our money back. Both the owner and the manager lied to me about a refund. The fact that they have to do this kind of thing to get money speaks volumes about the pride they take in their motel. It's the most revolting place I've ever seen, certainly unfit for families.
It has great rooms for a one night motelroom party with no more that 10 people. If their walls wasn't so thin instand have a lil bit of sound proof padding it would be perfect.
