What a wonderful place to go back in time and get away. Nostalgia was everywhere. If you love the Victorian Era, go. The home was packed full of history. Gary and Karin were perfect hosts. Gary cooked a great breakfast to start our day and Karin shared many interesting facts of history with us. The beds slept well and we got a great night of sleep. The railroad tracks and train runs right in front of the property. It was fun to watch it wize by. We thought it might keep us up at night, not sure we ever even heard it at night. We met up with family there and was able to visit and play games into the night on their couches located in the hallway and the dining area. I would highly recommend this Bed and Breakfast. We will be going back!
Interesting refurbished old Railway hotel. I enjoyed the historic aspect of this hotel. Absolutely loved when the train rolled by, so exciting and just felt like I had gone back in time. Might be loud for some, but I loved it. Rooms are satisfactory, a bit crowded and could use some new bedding in my opinion. The dining room is quite grand and the drink options are nice. The breakfast was nothing original, but it was ok. Nice place to stay and it has much potential to be grand.
Me and my wife stayed here for our one year anniversary the owners of the inn are very nice and their breakfast was very delicious the only complaint was we had a train coming through since there's a train tracks right in front of the place come through at 1:00 a.m. but literally as I woke up I went right back to sleep cuz the beds were so comfy you pretty much sink into it. If we ever plan a trip back up to that area we will definitely be staying again
This bed & Breakfast is worth it for the quality of the stay, the friendly service, and the convenient location near Mammoth Cave National Park. Karin and Gary were wonderful hosts, and they made the place feel as cozy as a home. The town itself wasn't much to look at, but the inn was within walking distance of a great diner. The building was gorgeous, and the aesthetic was intricate and well maintained. It really had the atmosphere of an inn from that time period. The room was spacious, the water pressure was fantastic, and the room temperature was alright. There was a fan you could use if you were feeling a little stuffy. There was a TV with a cable box loaded with all the channels you could want. There was a library on the main floor that I didn't get a chance to check out, but I did include pictures of. Breakfast was served starting at 8am, and Gary served us pancakes, bacon, and eggs. We had several drinks to choose from - coffee, juice, soda. All in all, this was a very pleasant experience! If I've got friends and family looking to visit Mammoth Cave, I'm definitely sending them this way!
Karin and her husband are wonderful, welcoming, and hospitable hosts who run a very nice, quaint, and peaceful bed and breakfast. At the right times they are present yet non-intrusive. Park City is fortunate to have this historic inn, and it’s a wonderful place to stay if visiting the nearby Mammoth Cave National Park (approx about 12 minutes away). Their Inn is a refurbished rebuilt hotel from another yesteryear era and the rooms are quaint yet comfortable. We recommend adding breakfast to your stay. Breakfast was amazing and delicious eggs, pancakes, bacon, fruit, orange juice, and coffee were served. The quaint, eclectic fruit offering with what appeared to be served with fruit infused crème fraîche was delicious, refreshing, and simply gourmet. On the first floor, there is a larger “mini fridge” that patrons get to use if anything needs refrigeration during their stay.
Nice bed and breakfast hotel. Karin and Gary are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very good. The hotel is clean and the bed is comfortable. The grounds are very well cared for.|As a warning, there is a train track right across the street with lots of trains throughout the day. We were not bothered by the trains, but some may have trouble with this.
We stayed in the Joy Suite for a one night get away. The house is absolutely beautiful inside and out! Every detail is perfect. Checking in and out was easy. Breakfast was amazing! The entire area is beautiful. The train runs right in front of the inn but the last train ran around 10:00pm and we didn’t hear it until almost 6:00am. We are usually early risers so it wasn’t a bother to us. It actually added to the experience and the atmosphere takes you back to the early 1900s! We loved every moment of this trip and cannot wait to book another night! Next time we plan to stay more than just one night! We recommend the Joy Suite since it is beautiful, very spacious, the bed was comfortable, and the shower was nice. I am sure the other rooms are just as nice! It was definitely a home away from home feel. If you need a get away definitely check out the Grand Victorian Inn!
The owners were helpful and friendly. The atmosphere was tranquil and quiet. We loved to sit in the rocking chairs on the front porch and watch the world go by. It was esp. fun when a train rambled by! The daily breakfasts were delicious and plentiful. We highly recommend staying here...it is an experience!
