Our family stayed at the Grand Summit in late June for a wedding. The staff and location make this hotel a great stay. Derek and Peter at the front desk... and the managers Quinn Andrew and Tiff always so friendly and helpful. The valet staff were awesome! Would recommend umbrellas for rainy days...and options for restaurant when it is reserved for private events... was closed to guests.
It is off season at the moment, and that made it the perfect to live in luxury at an affordable price. Our suite was beautiful and roomy. There was a large dining area, and the kitchen was top notch. There was easy access to indoor parking. We would definitely stat there again. The whole location and surroundings is beautiful.
We've skied all over the US and there is no better ski in/out than Grand Summit. It was amazing in that it's literally a few steps to the slope. Condo was super clean and very nice. Beautiful and right on the slopes. Nice to have bars and restaurants right in the same building and easy walk outside back door. Had everything we needed and we'll be back!
I’ve been here countless times in the winter time for the greatest snow on earth. This resort is my favorite of any mountain resort as the lift is literally steps from the hotel. (the lift is kind of a private Lift, called the orange bubble Xpress, closes a “bubble” over you to keep the wind off, and the seats are heated!). This recent visit was in the summer, however, and it was amazing to be able to hike up and down and around the mountain, crossing the ski trails, which are now full of verdant, green and wild flowers. The tombstone trail is amazing where you can hike to the top of the 9990 Mountain (that’s 9999 feet tall!). Much of the trail near the middle has a mountain stream with pine trees and birch trees and sage, offering not only beautiful vistas, but sounds and smells of nature like nowhere else I’ve ever been! We definitely need to come back because they are setting up for a crazy Fourth of July festival with fireworks and activities and music. They’re also putting up a summer concert stage with great bands, and events! We will come for the winter of course but several summer trips are required too!
This is like a Disney resort, good for families but not luxe or modern/stylish. All amenities including pool hot tubs dining need to be upgraded. The rooms have a great layout but again seem dated. The place to stay in this general area would be the Waldorf. This whole area of Canyons while lots of bars is dated with no buzz or vibe. Skiing was not good either as Canyons very wind prone.
My wife and I really like coming here at least once a year. It's great for skiing and golf. Although now we're a little too old for either of those the entire area is fun with interesting places to visit. Close by are Park City, Kamas, Midway and Heber City and slightly farther out are all the attractions around Salt Lake City, Ogden and Provo. For slightly longer day or overnight trips there's Mirror Lake and the fabulous Zion and Bryce Canyon national parks. All of this is why we keep returning here.
1) Ski-in/ski-out location a few steps from the Orange Bubble chair and 30 seconds from the gondola. |2) Adequate kitchens (great for families) with a large dining table on the lock off side. |3) Large comfortable bed with a sofa bed and sleeping location by the windows for the kids.|4) Ask for a mountain or valley view. |5) Furnishings are fine.|6) The room was clean with one minor issue that housekeeping fixed within 30 minutes. |7) Summary: This is an excellent hotel. It’s not at the level (or price) of a prime property at Deer Valley, but the location is perfect and the staff is on par with a Hyatt or decent Marriott.
On Tuesday morning, June 4th the entire hotel had no hot water. Then I heard on Monday night, the boiler went out. Hotel management made no attempt to notify the guest and make other arrangements. Any other luxury resort would have done this. ||What was infuriating was when I asked if the charge for the night would be adjusted, I was told they could credit back the $3.63 for the bottle of water i requested upon check-in. Hilton Garden and Hyatt Place give two bottles of complementary water and they are considered lower tier properties.
There are always classes that fit my schedule and the app makes it so easy to book them. The coaches are great and very motivating and I love that I have a record of my performance on the app
Awesome park with playgrounds, basketball courts, volleyball courts, pickleball and tennis courts, plus a station to pump up your bike, giant dog park with a mini lake, and lots of open grass area.
So much fun. Something for everyone so bring your beginneror trail ripper friends and they'll have a blast! Great trail design with quick climb and quick, feature rich descents. Free to everyone, this is a local gem.
Phenomenal food and friendly, fantastic service from Sonny. The beef patty was to die for and everything else (oxtail, roti curry, jerk chicken and shrimp) was so flavorful too! We'll definitely be back soon.
