Beautiful high elevation resort town. Incredible boat rentals of all types. There's also a boatload of stores, souvenir shops, restaurants, ice cream parlors, hiking, etc. This resort town is at the end of the Rocky Mountain National Park leg of an amazing tour. It sure was a treat having a great lunch after hiking to the top of some of the highest peaks in the region.
This town park extends along the waterfront of Grand Lake and includes a public beach, public dock, public bathrooms, public parking, benches, green areas, spaces for oversized parking, boat docks, a museum, and it is all FREE (except the museum, it requires a donation). This open waterfront area is perfect place to enjoy the headwaters of the Colorado River and soak in some outstanding views... our family has been enjoying this area since the 40s....
Wow wow wow! The views from this absolutely stunning beach and dock are incredible. We visited in late July, the water temp was amazing ! Tons of activities nearby, from pontoon rental to stand up paddle boarding. One of the most beautiful lakes I have had to opportunity to visit. Definitely make this lake and town one of your stops when traveling through Colorado.
Grand Lake is an awesome place lots of things to do! Great restaurants and bars. Bing in the park was a blast as well! We will definitely make it back!

I wish I could move to Grand Lake. Honestly one of the best mountain towns I've been to in Colorado. Downtown area still carries it's old charm. Grand Lake is the largest natural lake in Colorado, that alone is breathtaking! A photographers dream come true. I hope to be back sooner than later. So much to do up in those mountains.

Great little town & one of the prettiest lakes I've ever seen. Everything here is very clean & well maintained. The beach area & lake were filled with families, yet peaceful & quiet. We could have sat on a bench & watched the lake, sailboats & kayakers all day!

Amazing accommodation in Grand Lake, literal steps from Rocky Mountain NP. Great vibes, great views, and the property is just beautiful. We came in the winter so sadly everything was closed and we didnât get to experience all of the amenities. But
This is the locals spot for sure. Great place to hang out and have drinks at the bar and get some comfort food. Reminds me of a lake side bar in the iron range. Bar staff was nice, they have a bunch of screens to watch the AVs or NFL. Worth stopping
We ordered 2 pastries, a sunrise scramble with a blondie latte and a breve. The pastries we ordered were the mixed berry coffee cake and the peach blueberry coffee cake. Both were excellent. Our drinks were delicious and the scramble was great also.
