Stayed at the hotel for my daughter's birthday party. I understand that the hotel has limited control over drunken, Christmas party guest, but quiet hours were not taken into account for the guests who were trying to sleep. I finally called around 1:00AM because of the group of people in the pool area who were being absurdly loud.
But surprisingly enough, it wasn't just the guest, the worker who was cleaning the pool area had the audacity to run a vacuum cleaner at 1:00AM!! Right by the patio door to the pool and I even startled him by opening my curtain to see who would be vacuuming at 1:00 in the morning! I tried to use the room phone, but there was not power to the phone or the alarm clock for some random reason. So I had to search for my cell phone to call the front desk and make a complaint about the party guest being loud.
My recommendation would be to not stay in a poolside room as I have had better luck in other rooms.
Sincerely, a tired, crabby Mom who just wanted to sleep.
Not a fancy new hotel. Updates are not of this year. Room is nice. Pool is nice. Meeting room is fine. Some paint peeling but there's a lot of humidity in pool so whatever. Also they let dogs stay so they will get my business again if needed.
Just arrived. It’s the first snow of the winter so we get here tired and hungry and the restaurant closes early not that the employees couldn’t get here they sent them home. Then at the front desk we encounter an employee that definitely should not have come to work today she is grumpy no smile no welcome nothing and they call this “The Grand Hotel”. Well we can hope tomorrow is better. Room is clean but that first impression leaves a sour taste in your mouth. Nothing “Grand” about it.
2 vehicles parked in handicap parking. Told front desk twice that both vehicles did not have handicap plates nor placards to indicate them being handicap. 2 spots out front for handicap in that hotel is ridiculous. And for them not to do anything about it is even mire ridiculous.
We loved our stay at The Grand! The restaurant was nice, the pool was unique (and a bit chilly), and it looked incredibly clean. Our main issue was actually lighting in the rooms. The rooms were pretty dark even with all the lights on.
The only reason this isn’t a 5 star is because a few things could be in better repair. There’s some broken rusty things around the pool that I had to be cautions of with my kids. The rocks around the pool are uncomfortably rough, and there’s a lot of chipping/peeling paint around the facility.
On the plus side, this is the only place I’ve ever stayed that has double KING bed rooms and I love that for our family. Plenty of bed to stretch out on. The beds are memory foam and comfortable and no signs of bed bugs.
The service at the front desk and the lounge are fantastic! Heather in the lounge is just wonderful!
We enjoyed the pool and the hot tub so much! My kids love this place!
Tried to check into our reserved room at 10:30pm last night and was told that we'd have to wait for 20 minutes before we could get checked in due to "shift change."
In all the years that I've worked hotels and stayed in them, this is a new one to me! My family and I were exhausted and just wanted to get into our room. 35 minutes later, were able to check in.
Upon entering the room, the security lock for the main door is broken, the air conditioner for the bedroom is in operable, we're on a walk-in level, and the window locks are also broken.
Needless to say, we will not be staying here again.
Grand Hotel, yall can do better!!
Less than 3 mins away from Minot State Uni (great if visiting students or if attending graduation). Free parking available (including a few Handicap spots nearby door). Nice view of the city lights as being on top of a hill. The hallways to the guest rooms has probably seen better days, but our guest room was pretty clean in comparison (which is more important in my opinion. Our night $ rate was reasonable. Lobby and Grand Ballroom appeared to be nice. Has a pool and hot tub, as well as a fitness room (we did not try these facilities out). Was satisfied with our stay and had no problems.
Excellent value for your money. Grab and go breakfast, but bought groceries because there is a kitchen with a full size fridge. Separate bedroom in our suite! 2 TVs. Nice exercise room. Perfect for a multi day stay. Bathtub is hard to climb i
I love this hotel. I really love the pool side rooms. They go right to the breakfast room with out going to the lobby. The breakfast room has lots of seating and typical continental breakfast. You can see into a very cute kitchen that is just like at
The staff are wonderful, they are all very kind and very helpful. They made sure we had what we needed to be comfortable and asked if there was anything else that we needed. Great place to visit. Also very close to the shopping and dining. Breakfast
I started with Premier Movement after a serious injury. The trainers have helped me adapt exercises and techniques to help build back my abilities. They are all very supportive and encouraging! I also love the support and friendships created with oth
I absolutely adore the trendy, seasonal styles The Rack offers. With weekly live try-ons, thereâs no guessing as to how the clothes will fit. I really appreciate the options- there really is something for everyone, no matter your size/body type. S
Loved that I was able to go with my grandchildren and make precious memories. It's a place where you can go by yourself or with someone. I would definitely go back. Reasonably priced and they'll cure what you paint for you. Enjoyed it tremendously.
Beautiful park with wonderfully crafted buildings. Wish weâd been here a few weeks earlier to tour inside the buildings but we still enjoyed our visit. Looks like a great place for a picnic.
Currently the only brewery in Minot and it does not disappoint. Amazing beers with great variety in an amazing space. They have beers that will rival beers anywhere else in the country. Can not reccomend highly enough if you love craft beer. The staf
It's good to have such a unique festival event in Minot again! The prices are a little high but if you get the day pass with the concerts, it's usually a pretty decent deal. You have to go at least once!
So, I stumbled upon this unique card shop, and it's pretty wild, I must say. The owner, let's call them Cardomancer, gave me a tarot card reading when I walked in. It actually predicted that I'd pull a holographic Charizard, and guess what? I did! It
A not to be missed experience in Minot. Whether you live here or are visiting, if there's a performance, just go. Every seat is a good seat, and every play has been great!
Unbelievable Shop. Going there for the first time is just not enough. I will keep going back to take it all in. I LOVE this shop. Customer service is great ðas well. I found them on a FB advertisement.
Overlanding is our gig, eating our own prepared foods 90%+ of the time. However, there are those places that present themselves enticing us to stop and enjoy someone elseâs cooking.
