Such a great ski experience for our minimally experienced family. Our older athletic and daring teens had just enough challenge at Granby Ranch. No lift lines, and very friendly staff was an amazing bonus! Highly recommend this place if you are not frequent skiers. It was perfect for our family.
We had a phenomenal experience as a family at Granby Ranch. We booked ski lessons for a family of 4 with all day lift tickets, and words can't express how great the staff is. Starting with Hunter in the equipment shop and literal every staff member we ran into were the kindest and most informative crew I have ever been around. If you are considering taking your family to ski, you have to choose Granby Ranch. We will be back!
Such a special place to ski. Runs are not crowded, no speed skiers or people out of control. Yes, the slopes are small compared to Winter Park or Vail, but almost zero stress, compared to the other big name resorts.
We have been coming here for a few years every year is different and surprising. The more difficult mountain was shut down due to not enough snow but we still had a blast. This is hands down the best place to bring a family to learn! The instructors are amazing and work very hard to help children and adults learn everything they can! Special shout out to JACK the man who sets up lessons and gets everyone lined out. He really made the difference in the whole experience. I don’t know if the place would run as smooth without him.
Take it easy on your pricing! It’s gotten to a point where it is just not fair to hard working families. We couldn’t afford winter park and figured we come here instead. It came out nearly the same! Why make it so they families can only go once on their vacation!? Lower the cost enabling visiting families to go multiple times! All we wanted to do was ski a few days that was ultimately reduced to just 1 because of these prices! $170 for an adult, are you kidding me? This will be the last time we visit and recommending to everyone to go elsewhere. Classic price gouging staining a once good name.
To preface this, I have skied for almost 30 years across three countries. Granby Ranch ski area is great for overpriced lift tickets, long lift lines, an extremely dangerous environment on hill. There is no effort from employees to provide a safe experience, and ski patrol does nothing to enforce their own policies, they’re just the post accident clean-up crew. Will never return ever, and will be recommending everyone we know to ski elsewhere.
Granby ranch is a great small ski resort. But every year prices go up and up. Not worth going to this small of a ski resort for the prices. They had 1 trail open this season so far and still charging $140 a ticket. Anyone that knows how to ski or wants to learn. This is not the place to go. 100% worth spending more money and going to a real ski resort like Winter Park, Vail, Keystone, Steamboat, Etc. Granby Ranch is going down hill and would recommend everyone to spend your money elsewhere. You will regret paying the prices at Granby Ranch for a 30 second run.
My son took a ski lesson but hurt his knee on the first run and had to quit. Rather than saying 'sorry too bad", they refunded the payment. It was a great place if you want to avoid the giant ski area.
We booked campsite 18 for this past weekend and couldnât have been happier with the site and location and amenities as tent guests. Would 100% recommend for a semi private experience. From what I saw each site had a fire ring and picnic table. Each
The staff was super friendly and helpful. I ordered the huevos and a pancake on the side. The huevos were packed with flavor! Iâm picky about pinto beans because my momâs beans will always be the best beans ever! but let me tell you, the beans ta
I was pleasantly surprised at the history found inside this little museum. The Cozens pronounced cousins were a way stop on the stagecoach road. What was more interesting are the exhibits in the second floor. Dr Susan Anderson was one of the first f
I can't think of a better way to experience the Rockies with my family. The cabin was spotless and the kitchen very well equipped. The cabin was cozy and warm even at 0° I can't wait to go back. It's magical.
