Gram’s Place Bed and Hostel - Featured Reviews (391)
Bruce(the owner) was very welcoming, informative and helpful. He made me feel at ease and safe for being a female solo traveler.
The atmosphere at this hostel is charming and cozy, surrounded by musical themed decor. This is the kind of vibe you want at a hostel and I made so many new friends from so many different places on so many walks of life. The dorm rooms were affordable, clean, comfortable and well stocked. Every one had their own space and well spread out. We had a bar, a hot tub, an area located above the hostel made you feel like you were in a secret tree house, and there was station designated for charging electronics and you could still socialize and not feel stuck in your room.
I would definitely stay here again. I came to Tampa to come to terms with a family member who had passed away. This place was part of my healing journey and will forever hold a special place in my heart. If you come to tampa,, and want to experience things like a local and have a sense of community, grams is where it's at. I promise. Safe travels ❤️
7 min. to downtown Tampa. I called to tell them I was arriving after normal check-in hrs. They met my request. There's a number to call when you get in & they'll greet you. Parking is on the street, but I had no problem my entire stay with free parking right in front. They showed me to my room and I recieved a tour in the mornning. I stayed for 9 days. The room I booked was decent and clean, but they asked me if I'd like to try another room because I'm a bigger guy and was a little cramped in my 1st bunk in the room I choose. I changed to the Amsterdam. During my stay because it was a longer stay, I asked for a few extra towels and they accomodated me. The pool was definetely a plus and the common cooking area was really convient. We had group activities we could participate in like Trivia Night at an Irish pub and they made great recommendations for activities around the city! Laundry is $6 to do a load and they offered to Launder it themselves. Overall, it was an amazing hostel experience! And I hope to one revisit tampa!
The people and the vibe was awesome. So many friendly people over there. Go chill around the spa in the evening and you'll make a lot of friends. Rooms are not brand new, but who cares. I slept like a baby and it didn't cost me an arm. Also located at a walking distance of the waterfront with bars and restaurants
Cela fait près de 20 ans que nous sommes accueillis chaque année dans cette auberge où la musique a une place importante. Il y a une ambiance très chaleureuse et fraternelle, un grand plus par rapport à l'hôtellerie traditionnelle.
This place has a lot of character. It is not your standard chain hotel. The people are friendly and it is close to the historic district and downtown. Most of the rooms have been updated. I would recommend the experience.
We've stayed here every time we've been in Tampa. The vibe is awesome, there are always new people to meet, it's within decent walking distance of so many things, and the rooms are clean and comfortable. I can't think of a better place to stay.
Located in a safe area near the airport. Real friendly atmosphere and typical hostel beds.
I left a couple great comic books in the library of the communal area. Hope you enjoy them and if you want more, Comics & Stuff is ten minutes away.
After two years of backpacking through countless hostels in Australia and the US, I can confidently say this hostel stands out as one of the best I've ever experienced. Nestled in a property bursting with character, it offers a unique and welcoming atmosphere. The staff, a delightful blend of warmth and friendliness, elevate the stay to something truly memorable. Special mention to the owner, Bruce – a genuine gentleman whose commitment to ensuring an exceptional experience goes above and beyond. In a world where not all hostel workers are equally helpful, Bruce is a refreshing exception. I would give more than 5 stars if I could. Looking forward to returning for another fantastic stay!

Gracie Martial Arts Tampa, led by Emiliano, is an exceptional place to learn the original and modern forms of Gracie Jiu-Jitsu. Having had the opportunity to compare it with other noteworthy schools, I found that this one particularly appeals to me.
