Graduate by Hilton East Lansing - Hotel in East Lansing - 133 Evergreen Ave, USA

I almost never give full 5 stars, but this place deserves it. As a designer from Chicago I appreciated the thoughtful way it was designed, being across the street from Michigan State they wove in really cool details. Amanda at the front desk was wonderful, helpful and friendly. Valet parking was easy. Rooms were well designed from the drapes that were motorized, convenient outlets, great vibe. The Lobby is so nice, it has a convenient place to purchase snacks, coffee, etc. The girls working there were very nice too. Comfortable open Lobby. Bikes available to use. Rooftop lounge, great view! (Food was just ok up there tho.) We are going to go again soon. FYI it was recently purchased by Hilton (Aug 24)

This hotel has the worst customer service I’ve ever dealt with at any hotel I’ve ever stayed at. When I arrived I didn’t see a parking lot anywhere, so I called to ask where it was. No one answered. I saw a line of cars sitting out front and I headed over to that line and a valet came out to me. I asked where the lot was and he said they were only valet parking or I could park in the municipal lot several blocks away. This wasn’t mentioned anywhere on their listing on the Hilton app. Neither of these options worked for me, since I had to go out a few times during my stay. I called back again and was just touted through a bunch of automated menus until I finally got in touch with someone. They told me they’d get my reservation cancelled, they just needed to confirm with the front desk. After 15 minutes of waiting the call was disconnected. I called back, this time they told me that they wouldn’t cancel, I’d have to pay for my room (that I had literally just booked about an hour earlier). I asked if I could talk to a supervisor and they hung up on me. I called back again and someone else in the Hilton reservation department tried to help but they also said they needed to talk to the front desk. 25 minutes later they still couldn’t get anyone at the desk. They transferred me to someone they thought could help and I was disconnected AGAIN. A fourth time I called and was finally able to get someone who was able to help get my room cancelled, but they also said that they couldn’t reach anyone at the hotel. Beware that they apparently don’t care at all about helping you out at all. I’ve been a Hilton Diamond member for 10 years and it took me this long to get any help, I couldn’t imagine if I had no status. Stay at any other hotel in town. I was able to move to another and they were very welcoming and accommodating and even gave me a free upgrade after hearing how the Graduate treated me.

The graduate hotel is my favorite one to stay out here in East Lansing. I come here quite a bit for work and always have the best experience. Blake with the valet team went above and beyond tonight as I forgot one of my bags out of my car. He not only went to my car to get my bag for me, but he then brought it up directly to my room at 11pm at night- THANK YOU Blake!

This was our 3rd experience here and we absolutely love it! Everyone is so friendly and the valet guys are so kind, quick, and so welcoming! James was wonderful to chat with and you can tell he really wants everyone to feel welcome and taken care of. The hotel is beautiful, the staff is friendly and the view of campus from the rooftop is stunning. We’ll be coming back to visit our son and Graduate will definitely be our choice of hotels!

The experience was really great! Location is in the downtown area, and the room was very clean. Nate C with the valet did a great job bringing my vehicle in a quick manner. We left our car with the valet after checkout and had to leave our bags somewhere, but he had no issue grabbing the car and driving it back quickly after.

First time staying at this graduate location and it did not disappoint. The friendly staff, and the easy experience with checking in and the valet service as well. In addition the valet staff member named Nate C. Was a real blessing. He was super friendly, funny and provided us with some helpful insights of the East Lansing area. An overall great experience and will recommend to my friends and family!

I stayed here for the bar exam and will definitely be returning. I am an MSU grad, but have never had to stay in a hotel while here because I've always had a sibling to stay with. However, the room rates were great in the middle of the week, so I got to check it out. I'm glad I did-- the front desk staff was very kind, and went out of their way to help me out. The beds were comfy and I loved the MSU-themed decor everywhere! I also liked having a kettle in the room.

This trip was our first stay at a Graduate property. We spent one night at Graduate Ann Arbor and one night at Graduate Lansing. We were very pleasantly surprised and will definitely look to stay at Graduate hotels in the future. Everything was well done and exceeded our expectations! From public spaces and our room to dining and customer service, everything was just as it should be-great! Stay here, you won't be disappointed!
