Peaceful and loving atmosphere, friendly service, and outstanding vegan and vegetarian food options. Somehow there is always a much more light and peaceful atmosphere at restaurants that serve no meat at all. I feel the angels and devas are present at Govindas.

The only restaurant I consistently recommend to people in and out of Tucson. Food makes me feel good. Ate here in '98, 06, 18, 20, 21, and twice this week. It is a great space to eat alone or with others. Explore the entire grounds. A quiet, centering space. Faith not required

Govinda's is one of the best, most special restaurants I've ever visited anywhere! The atmosphere is peaceful, beautiful, and blissful. The food is amazing - a great, rotating variety of vegan/vegetarian dishes to impress everyone - omnivores will love it, too! The food is served buffet-style and is prepared with a lot of love. This is reflected in the delicious taste and how nourishing it is. And definitely try the desserts at the buffet and in the display case - they are fantastic, too! The lunch/dinner buffet on Wednesday through Friday are entirely vegan! The staff is very kind and helpful. The restaurant also features a beautiful patio (sometimes with live music), a lovely meditation garden/koi pond, exotic birds, and a great Indian boutique. Govinda's is my top choice for restaurants in Tucson - it is certain to wow out-of-town guests, too.

The food tasted great. There is a gift store, a fantastic buffet ($11.95 for adults, children under 3 eat free), and homemade cakes (from $2.95), mango lassi ($4.00) and herbal tea. There is little indoor seating, and it is unfortunately too narrow inside for a stroller or wheelchair. But there is a great garden outside with lots of seating with plenty of room for strollers and wheelchairs.

Delightful place! Healthy Vegan and vegetarian food, delicious too. Lovely Koi pond and a peacock / turkey on the grounds. Food very reasonably priced and kids under 3 eat for free. Definitely coming here again!

Govinda's was amazing. Coming into the grounds you see beautiful flowers, trees and nature all around. There are fountains and beautiful paintings that bring life to the grounds. There is a fish pond and bird houses once you start walking along the paths. This place was just beautiful and serene. You could come here to think and meditate. It's peaceful and much needed in this fast paced moving world. Govinda's offers relaxation and meditation classes during the week. I took a picture of the schedule. Going into the restaurant you pass through a very nice gift shop that you should check out. Going around to the buffet was a few steps ahead. There was a line of people waiting to eat as we all got there upon opening. It didn't take long for us to sit down and get our food. The buffet offered maybe 20 dishes and sides to choose from. I wasn't familiar with the foods as it was more Indian foods, but everything I chose was fabulous. All the foods tasted so good and I went back for seconds. This was my first time checking this place out and I will be back. This is the only place I've found so far that offered an all meatless buffet. I'm trying to eat healthier and this place is very good for me. I'm sure you'll love it too. #Tonetta

This place is beautiful! The atmosphere is calming. The service was good. Sorry I didn't get more photos of the food, it was so good I forgot to take pictures. I'll have to get some when I go back. Yeah, it's worth going back. The deserts were good, but not note worthy, although they will satiate that sweet tooth if you end up getting one.

Your going to love this place. They have a koy pond, an aviary a gift shop with things from India and a buffet that serves different food every day. The gift shop has jewelry, incense and a host of other cool things including singing bowls that I happen to love. Don't just read the review go check them out and start enjoying life! Way better than your chain restaurants. This is a very unquie place and the help are awesome, very friendly. They have small indoor dining area and a very large out door area.
