My friend and I enjoyed having a treat there. We had ice cream Sundays. They were really good. They were a really good size too. I was very happy that the train was turned off after a bit. It was a pain because it made a lot of noise when it came close to us. I still recommend going there.

Wow! I had the best experience here. Jeffery made my first time so wonderful! He was extremely knowledgeable about the menu and super friendly. The cute train going around made it feel so quaint and sweet in here. I can’t wait to come back and try the desserts!!

Been here in Maine for 2 years and finally made it to Governor's for lunch this past week. Very robust menu. Had the bread pudding for desert. Was wonderful.

The beet and blueberry salad was delicious. After stealing a small child's sweetpotato waffel fries with cheese curds there was no room for their amazing looking cakes. Kids loved the shakes! Long time fan!

Went here twice in 4 days. They were great as always. Our servers were Lacey and Mathew, both excellent, friendly, mind, and considerate. Being on the road with 2 young boys and having competent and patient serving staff makes all the difference. On my way out, I made sure to impart my appreciation and admiration to the GM Troy (also incredibly friendly and kind) so that he would know the impact his staff made on our travel. The Lewiston Govs will now be our halfway stop on trips to northern Maine. The food is dependably good, the atmosphere calm, and the service friendly and fast. Thanks again to the entire team for being great in your field.

We've been going here for years. We really like it. The food is always good, and before you leave you will love their Desserts and their Amazing Bakery Items. Absolutely incredible. The Manager is a very accommodating and amazingly friendly man.

Great dishes and amount of food for the prices. Great customer service I have been going here for 20 years. And the desserts are huge and delicious.
