Great coffee, wide variety of sweet and savory pastries and pleasant staff. We came on a Friday for a quick breakfast and coffee on our way to santa Monica. We had quiche and raspberries bar. Both were great.

A little pricey for their food options, but everything was tasty. Great coffee and ambiance for this little place. The guy working the day we came was nice, helpful, and accommodating to our group of 7 (which took every seat inside).

Beautifully Presented Bakery with absolutely delicious looking sweet treats. Greeted by such a friendly fella I had the Mexican Mocha which was so nice and after a tough decision on what bakery treat to have I went for a hot M&M cookie which was absolutely delicious. Everything looked homemade with love and passion. Will certainly take note of this place each time I visit San Diego. Thankyou

Super cute bakery in Encinitas. I’m surprised they have a lot of savory pastries, including meat pie, quiches, and savory empanadas. I had a bacon, cheese & egg empanada, it is so delicious! They heated up for me and I enjoyed this big empanada nice and warm. They also have a lot of sweet pastries! I’ll come back to try others, they all look amazing.

The decor at Gordy's Bakery and Coffeehouse is so quirky and fun! The food is also so yummy and comforting. We had a sausage roll that was spot on! I am half Kiwi, that is, my Mum is from New Zealand, and sausage rolls are featured at every bakery there. It is a lot harder to find them in the USA, but I always get so excited when I get to enjoy one here! We also had a cherry turnover that was the perfect balance of sweet and tart. I had a chai latte that was also the perfect balance of sweet and spicy.

Sweet Jesus that spinach mushroom quiche was good. Great, friendly service and a relaxed atmosphere. 100% Worth a stop.

Excellent espresso here! Today, I got an R-Bar, which is their rasberry bar. I took it home and plated it for my wife to enjoy for breakfast. She absolutely loved it! For myself, I got a pumpkin muffin. It was phenomenal. They have a wide selection of bars and muffins to choose from. There's an enormous collection of bobbleheads and concert posters that give the place a cool vibe. Lots to look at while they make your coffee. UPDATE... I came back and got a date bar and took it home an plated it for my wife. These oatmeal bars are amazing! My wife LOVES it when I bring one home for her. I also bought a sausage roll, but there was no evidence of that by the time I got home. 🤣

Sky high prices keep this from being 5 stars. It's doesn't feel fair to pull out a 20 dollar bill and get a couple bucks and some coins back just for a coffee and little snack for breakfast. Nonetheless, the food is excellent and the occasional visit is warranted, even for the poor people like me. I guess if you're loaded then it's not much of a thought, but man, I usually just get a yogurt for 3 dollars and a muffin for a buck or off the clearance rack from whatever grocery store. To speak subjectively of the food alone, this place hit the nail straight on the head, it tastes wonderful. Just wish I could leave satiated and not broke and hungry still. Also, the guy handed me my food and drink in a bag. I mean, maybe he was just tired or whatever and didn't think about it, but it felt like he was telling me to leave the place. I mean no worries, I can go somewhere else with the food, it just felt kind of unwelcoming.
