Gordon Tavern is an absolute gem in the heart of city. From the moment you step inside, you're greeted with a warm and inviting ambiance that instantly puts you at ease. The staff here is incredibly friendly and attentive, ensuring that your dining experience is nothing short of exceptional.
Now let's talk about their famous wedge salad and pizza. The wedge salad is a true delight for salad lovers. It's beautifully presented with a crisp and refreshing iceberg lettuce wedge, topped with creamy blue cheese dressing, crispy bacon bits, and cherry tomatoes. Each bite is a burst of flavors that will leave your taste buds wanting more.
And when it comes to the pizza, Gordon Tavern truly knows how to deliver. Their pizzas are made using the freshest ingredients and baked to perfection in their brick oven. Whether you're a fan of classic Margherita or prefer something more adventurous like their truffle mushroom pizza, each slice is a heavenly combination of gooey cheese, flavorful sauce, and a perfectly crispy crust.
Overall, a visit to Gordon Tavern is a culinary journey that shouldn't be missed. From the delectable wedge salad to the mouthwatering pizzas, this restaurant offers a dining experience that will leave you craving for more.
A+++ This is a great place to be! Service was quick, and the food was straight out of the oven. We hit happy hour and got chicken sliders, truffle fries, and two pizzas for $42. It was so much food that we bought an entire pizza back to our room. Will eat again 😋
Nice place, good service, but ok food. Chicken sliders were more bun than meat with several bites essentially meat free. Two of us ordered this dish from their happy hour menu and both of us had the same experience. Cocktails were good and a good value for happy hour. Pizza was ok - sauce was a bit too tangy and overpowered the toppings. Dough was pretty good though. Dinner menu was pretty short, not a lot of options. I liked the space and vibe, just wish the food kept up. I'd give 3.5 stars if I could. Parking is decent at nearby lots, but be ready to walk a block or two
Consistent menu with a highly aesthetic environment. I come here often and I’ve sat in every area of the restaurant from the bar, in the small lounge, and main restaurant. Not a bad spot in the house. Decent wine list although I’d like to see it rotate more often with all the local wineries we have in our backyard.
Service is great too. I’m a fan!
Everything was very good. Food loses a star because you do need to add salt to certain dishes for them to have flavor. But overall the quality of the food was fantastic. The meat and cheese plate gets 17,000 stars because it was amazing. The server was fast and attentive, don't remember her name. Older lady that was super friendly. For 3 of us, we got the charcuterie board, fish and chips, waygu burger, and fried chicken, 2 blackberry lemonades and 2 martinis. The total was $119 and we tipped $25. It sounds spendy but it was actually pretty reasonable considering the tastiness. The portions were bigger than expected, I saw reviews saying they were small. They were not! Nice place for a date night or birthday dinner 😊
Brunch! Delicioso! Best Benedicts I've ever had! The chicken was also very on point. The coffee, the waffles... Superb. We stayed at the hotel also. Very modern, the good taste is real! And is NOT EXPENSIVE! Dinner and drinks was around 80 and that superb breakfast was less than 60 for 2
Not sure why we've been hearing not so great things about this place. We loved it. It's beautiful inside, comfy chairs and excellent service. Not everything we ordered was a total hit but I don't really expect everything to be perfect when I go out, because as a former chef, you can't cook for everyone. We loved the brie, even ordered one for dessert instead of actual dessert. Calamari was well above average. We ordered two mains, fish and chips and the fried chicken. If I had to critique I would say the fish was ever so slightly undercooked (meaning the batter), but was still very good. Fries were delicious. The fried chicken was ever so slightly over cooked, very dark breading and kind of dry. But not super noticable if you got a good bite with the hot honey and berry silky mashed potatoes. Every condiment/sauce was pretty perfect, especially the dipping sauce for calamari. I wish I could remember the server's name but she was really excellent, I honestly can't remember a time I've had such great service, excellent follow through and attention to detail, as well as just being very pleasant and lovely. Oh, and top notch old fashioned, one of the best I've had, and dangerously delicious wine selection. Thank you for a lovely evening.
I was pleasantly surprised during my first visit to the Gordon Tavern. The atmosphere is wonderful, be sure to look at the ceiling art. The eggs bene was very good, pictured is the half order. The cocktails were also lovely. We came in from the ice storm and we very pleased we chose to walk a little further than we wanted to and found this gem.
Delicious food, friendly owner, fast service.
Selected this place since it was 4.9 with 100 reviews and wanted to take a couple burgers home.
We built our own 1/3 smash burgers with jalepenos and mushrooms and tried both the beer battered and steak
Amazing food! Generous portions! Jackson was friendly, knowledgeable and very helpful in guiding us to the perfect lunch on our first visit. The Chinese donut Youtiao in the wrap changed my life. The Szechuan peppercorn on the fries were on point! We
My new local haunt, you can find me here randomly. Excellent beer selection, friendly staff, and endless sausages to choose from. Trivia nights, and other events throughout the week. Great atmosphere
No matter if we get takeout, eat at the bar, attend a special event, or sample the wine tastings, we always have a wonderful time. The food is amazing as are the people who make and serve it. Best cocktails around. So fun to come for happy hour and h
The Shining star at Nelson's in the Whit is the staff! Everyone here was so nice and accommodating! Everyone said hello and goodbye and someone even opened the door for us when they saw us coming up the walk. The staff was what we talked about after
I absolutely adore Pandita<3 The food is phenomenal, the staff is so friendly and welcoming, and the owners are the kindest souls you'll ever meet! I am absolutely blessed to have this place so close to me! I love the beef and carnitas tacos as my go
From Ross the Reservation taker to Chris the Server & all through the incredible deliciousness of our Sunday Brunch food, I have nothing but praise to give to this wonderfully nice establishment. I ordered the pick 3, I chose Cheesy Grits, 2 Eggs ove
Claim 52 has really good burgers. Iâd happily come back for the cowboy burger. The beers range from mild ales and lagers, to hoppy IPAs. But I canât leave out the WILD beers like Tiramisu and raspberry gingerbread cheesecake.
Amazing food in an amazing location. Situated in vineyards and hop farms with a view out over a rolling vineyard. Itâs well worth the drive. If youâve never been here before Iâd suggest having the long board of 5 tapas paired with a flight of
This was a surprise find on a trip to Eugene. We went on our first night; but based on the owner, friendly atmosphere, and crowd, we went back each night we were in the area.
