We enjoyed happy hour on the outdoor patio. The happy hour prices are great! $3 for a beer (although it rings up as $3.25 on the receipt) and $6 appetizers. We love the GB Hefeweizen! We got the pretzel and it’s our favorite in the area. The beer cheese could be improved. It needs a little more flavor. We tried the burrata and roasted tomatoes for the first time. It was good, although a little heavy on the balsamic vinegar. One issue is that the last few times we have been here to GB MYR the rewards system is always down so we can’t get points for our meal. My other complaint in general is that they don’t have enough vegetarian entree options.
While on vacation in Myrtle Beach, I took my son and his girlfriend along with my lady to Gordon Biersch Brewery for lunch. I started off with a Golden Export (Helles Lager), which is their lightest and most refreshing beer. For an appetizer, we shared the Bavarian pretzel, which goes very well with a cold beer. I had a Reuben sandwich with sweet potato fries, and it was delicious.
Overall, meh. The soft pretzel was delicious. The burger was flavorless. This place seems like they have an identity crisis. Name of a pub, atmosphere of a sports bar, odd sorta fancy menu.
Food was delicious. Staff was amazing. Here's the thing. We had multiple glasses with lipstick on them. And none of us wear lipstick. Also 2 of our friends ordered medium well and well done burgers. They got almost rare. So maybe step up your cleanliness and your temp checking in the kitchen
Food was excellent but I gave the food category 2 stars due to unavailability of beer on tap. My local GB closed over covid so I was very much looking forward to visiting this one. Waitress was superb and as mentioned, food was excellent. I had the poke bowl and my guest loved what he had. We also shared a pretzel. Lack of beer on tap is not good at a brewery. We got one of each available. (2) Place was slow during dinner hour.
Friendly staff welcomed us in, got us a seat outdoors and we both got our drinks quickly. Hard to go wrong with any of the drinks, and tried the deviled eggs, if you're a fan of devilee eggs, absolutely fantastic. Avocado chicken sandwich and Wagyu Burger are absolutely fantastic, and I absolutely recommend the garlic mashed potatoes. Feels like it's hard to go wrong with anything on this menu. Now, the main reason I'm writing this review. The creme brulee cheesecake. Absolutely amazing. One of the best desserts I've ever had. This place is already fantastic, but the creme brulee cheesecake is worth it alone to go here. Do yourself a favor, sate that sweet tooth, and enjoy some in-house made brews.
Had never been here before but always wanted to go. I was in town for business and decided to give it a shot. Glad I did, the food was amazing and the atmosphere was very nice also. It was a little pricey but it's a tourist area so it was expected. We had wings, beer and the Cajun fish tacos. One guy had the wagyu meatballs. We all tried everything and it was all good. I'll definitely try this place again when I'm in town.
Great place, I'm not a fan of chains and at first didn't realize it was a chain... so that's a good thing. Excellent food, friendly service, German beers. Recommend the Chicken sliders and jalapeño slaw.
