With the new ownership this year there's a definite uptick in the quality of the food and ice cream desserts. The people taking orders seem like they really care. The owners have some cool plans for next summer. They are working really hard to make some nice changes throughout the business. And BTW, my bacon cheeseburger was excellent and the lettuce and tomatoes on it were fresh! The curly fries were great. We also had shakes and a fancy sundae. All excellent! Very reasonable prices. It's a 45 minute drive one way for us to get there but definitely worth the trip!
This place is amazing all the way from the atmosphere to the food. The owner and employees are very nice, and the spot is beautiful. One thing I always get is a strawberry milkshake with chocolate sprinkles, you have to try it, best choice of my life. I know Chris would have been happy to see how far this place has come
Was so excited for maple, and this is what I got. Served by argumentative, rude staff. I guess the portions have been drastically reduced since last week. Unfortunately, unless something changes, this will be my last trip. The second pic is what it looked like last time maple was severed. Both the same size (baby)
Update 6/17/23
I was blocked from their Facebook page. After exposing them for the smaller dish/portion size. If you are looking for a decent creamee stand I suggest going to Vergennes or going to Suzies in Crown Point, NY!
The outstanding dedication over the past three decades by both the owners and customers alike, has enabled this business to grow from a quaint little ice cream hut in a vast field to the uniquely charming food stand it has become today.
Everyone in your family will find something to enjoy on the full menu of fast foods and desserts. Goodies still has the biggest ice creams and best fast foods in the area.
This place is bursting with character from the hand painted boulders in the front of the shop to the humble picnic tables in the covered seating area.
This is the perfect place to make summer memories. Give yourself a treat!
I've been coming to goodies for almost 15 years. But this visit tonight, was last straw!! I was trying to give you guys time to make your name. But not only turned away multiple times (with 30 plus minutes before closing only to get ice cream with long distant family), 3 times smaller portions of ice cream, and owner (Judy) taking her employees way to much, making all of order wrong and under cooked brownies. Evening my kids wouldn't eat it. The employees seem very unhappy. Just seemed very unhappy place unlike usual. Witch they're usually very happy and laughing and not pushing through the smiles! I hope and pray that it will change! My kids and I will hopefully try it out if feel it has changed in a positive, happy environment.
Awesome place to get some good food and ice cream. There generous with the amount you get with he size you order. Definitely a must stop!!!!
My significant other and I went yesterday for dinner and dessert. Not too busy, arrived around 645pm. I think the workers are very nice with no attitude at all. The deep fried mushrooms, french fries, spicey curley fries were all spot on. He had a bacon cheddar burger that was perfectly cooked and I had the chicken tenders basket. The coleslaw was so good! The blueberry creemie was amazing, as was his blueberry/vanilla swirl. Still worth the drive from any where!
i cant say much about there food but the ice cream was very artificial tasting very sloppy the sizes are inconsistant goodies used to be wonderful and great as we are locals but I don't think we will be going back after this visit we went 3 days ago
Vergennes Laundry is a gem. I feel so fortunate to live near this place, itâs where I bring all my out of state friends for a tasty treat, a delicious latte, or my fav granola and yogurt bowl. Everything Iâve had from here has been amazing. Simpl
Had a great dinner experience at this chill, back-of-town place. Great vibe/atmosphere. Food was very good - brussel sprouts, crispy fish and chips, maple bread pudding for dessert. All really good. Low-ish alcohol (5.0%) IPA from attached Hired Ha
This maritime museum provides fascinating insights into what it means to know Lake Champlain. They manage to cover everything from learning about the ecology of the lake, to it incredible impact on American history and the art of boat building. There
Went to Park Squeeze for dinner and it was great! The restaurant is on the second floor and offers great pub food. So many restaurants offer âelevated pub fairâ which is usually overdone and overly expensive and overly âfancy.â Park Squeeze d
Iâve eaten here twice with my mom while visiting Basin Harbor resort. The food is high quality, portions are generous, service is great, and the atmosphere is friendly and unassuming. I had wings and the crispy chicken bowl at one meal, and the lob
Spicy house special fried rice was good, I did add some spice at home as I prefer it a little spicier. Beef with broccoli (w/garlic sauce) was tasty, and we enjoyed the boneless spare ribs appetizer as well. Thank you for the excellent service.
