Good Tequila's Mexican Grill - Mexican restaurant in Peoria - 5025 West American Prairie Drive, USA

We were there just after lunch around 1:00 p.m. . Food was good service was okay. Server spent most of their time on the phone. May have been doing business, I don't know, but just left us feeling unattended.

The waiter wasn't very good. The food was cold when it arrived. It tasted good, but would have been better if it was hot. The whole table had the same comment. Food was barely warm, so it was sitting for a bit. Chips and salsa wasn't even refilled.

Food was good. They've changed there cheese dip. Too runny. If you want more chips and salsa, you were changed for it. Server was impatient. We couldn't understand him. Had to ask and explain what we were ordering. He told us they don't celebrate birthdays and don't have fried ice cream. Won't be going back!! 10/28/23 5:00 pm

The guy who sat us was REALLY nice; spoke to us about the heat && how are day was going! It’s a Nice place, kinda pricey but what isn’t these days. Our Server didn’t really check on us, had to ask for napkins; refills, more salsa && chips. Seemed a little irritated we didn’t know what we wanted and asked for a few mins to look over the menu. It Wasn’t too busy we went around 5:45pm. Fajitas were really good . Salsa is pretty tasty. Chips were hot and fresh

The workers were nice. However no one checked on us the whole time we were there. No napkins only the one that was around the silverware was offered. Food was way under seasoned. I had a chicken chimichanga. The chicken was so dry it was hard to even chew it.

We sat outside and had a wonderful dinner. Staff was friendly and kept our chip bowl full as well as our drinks. Street tacos are delicious and the chicken served in a pineapple looked, smelled and tasted amazing. Tables were super clean and the servers all wore masks. Music is way to loud at lunch.

As always, the food is "muy excellante"! We had a party of 12, so I understand if the service wasn't exactly on point. Some of our party (kids mostly) had to wait longer for their food. We had 5 diabetics at the table, and it was hard waiting an hour for food. Chips are endless, but you only get one FREE salsa per table and then have to pay for more. One little bowl for every 4 people? The atmosphere is great, except we were at a long table directly across from the front entrance, and it was a chilly evening, so the draft was almost getting unbearable by the time we finally got warm food in our bellies.

First time there hoping for a different experience from all the myriad of other Mexican restaurants out there. Sorry but it wasn't. Same somewhat blandish fare you can get everywhere. Taco was lettuce and some meat, nothing else. Tostada was soggy and bland. A bit more pricey than others that offer the same. No real reason to go back. Many more less expensive versions out there with the exact same food. Our quest to find something different continues.
