Hidden gem for hiking the Schunnemunk Mountain and the old Monastery structures there are amazing! Highly recommended checking it out

Lacks of seating, the fields are by permit only. It has a nice trail to go hiking on.

Awesome place nice view

Beautiful place. The soccer field is well maintained and beautiful the scenery there is amazing and old fashioned this park isn’t your typical park mainly for hiking and enjoying the nature. Very nice people up there and overall just a amazing place would recommend to anyone who loves nature.

Nice place, beautiful trails but pretty steep, but at the same time well taken care of, you will fi d a breathtaking view at the top of the mountain where you can see the whole are from the top, but its a good 30 min walk uphill, but its worth it

I randomly 'found' this park while trying to find a place to picnic with the kids. I saw it on my maps and navigated to it - as it indicates it is a picnic area. I found dilapidated and worn down masonry structures, one behind a fence for safety reasons. There were NO areas to eat, except on the ground. Which would have been fine if the place wasn't littered with trash - some of it very unsanitary. Someone trashed an AC unit in the gazebo and left it there, along with broken bottles. We did find an abandoned Chapel along the trail, but I generally found this place in poor standing. Perhaps it is best as a sports field only.
