The playground is a little outdated, but that doesn’t stop my little one from loving to play on it. The bathrooms are surprisingly new and clean. Playground also gets lots of shade in the morning & afternoon.
I really like stopping here. They finally put in new bathrooms , and so far they are keeping them clean and maintained. Nice place to rest in the shade of large old pecan trees. Playground looks well maintained and I always see families stopping here.
Great place for a picnic in the park. I saw some modern children's play ground equipment and even some older playground equipment that I remember from when I was a kid. Looked like a seasonal creek flowed through and I could imagine the laughter from children in the summer in the pool at the top of the hill.
Surprised how nice the playground hardware was. Doesn't looked like they have city park to power wash and repaint and maintenance, so very impressive with what could be, New in town, so we will definitely be looking into city council meetings.

We pulled into the city park to rest on our drive and eat our lunch sandwiches. It was a convenient place, but we could not find any available picnic tables, so we had to eat in our car. The rest rooms were also all locked up, so we had to drive further to find an available one. Great potential and location, but a bit sparse on amenities.
It's a nice open area. There is a playground and a basketball court. There are several picnic tables along with a covered gathering area. Sadly, several of the live oak trees are dieing. Hopefully the city can do something to save the remaining oaks. Being so close to the highway does make it easy to find but the sound of traffic takes away for the nature feel of the park. It would also have been nice if the bathrooms had been open.
Saturday mornings there is a small farmers market here. Wonderful home maid jellies, relishes and breads and vegetables at reasonable prices. Also some really nice homemade crafts. I enjoy stopping by shopping and visiting.
