This is the best Chinese food in the Suburbs. I’ve been going here since I was a child and even since I’ve moved out of the area, continue to come back whenever I have the taste for Chinese or Cantonese food, and have referred multiple friends who share my sentiment. The consistency of the food is remarkable; the prep and quality of the dishes hasn’t changed is 40 years and is phenomenal - I haven’t had a disappointing order yet. The egg rolls are a must order and a can’t miss - they are homemade, larger than normal, and full of flavor. For a pro-tip, order them with a side of the sweet, molasses based(?) house BBQ sauce for dipping. The combination or “Golden Wok Special” fried rice is perfection, with a generous portions of shrimp, chicken, and pork. Another pro-tip - that same BBQ sauce mentioned above can be mixed in to this as well for a sweet, delightfully addictive experience that you will crave at 2 in the morning at random intervals. Even the steamed rice that accompanies many of the dishes is consistently moist and fluffy - again, the consistent execution is one of the most impressive things about Golden Wok. The owner and his wife are always around, and are extremely friendly and grateful every time people come in. The restaurant is adorned with wonderful memories over the history of the restaurant, giving it that heart-warming, family-owned feel. While they are still carry-out only since COVID, the food is always prepared fresh and will easily still be hot and delightful after a 15-20 minute drive home provided you arrive within the time stated when you order. Golden Wok is truly a hidden gem until you find it, then it will quickly become a go-to any time you have a craving for those phenomenal eggs rolls and delectable “Special” fried rice… and, of course, that BBQ sauce.

WORST Chinese food I’ve ever had. Ordered food from here on Uber eats. I ordered Mongolian beef and Shrimp egg foo yung and The Mongolian beef was EXTREMELY salty. Like inedible because of how salty it was. It was like eating spoons of salt. The egg foo yung was burnt and bland. It tasted of burnt. I am not coming here or ordering from here ever again. Save your money and go to Panda Express.

Food was bland and dry. Rice was old. It takes a lot to mess up chinese food but this is some of the worst I've had.

If you drive for grubhub doordash ubereats postmates then STAY AWAY unless you like adding 15 minutes to each order standing around waiting BECAUSE THE FOOD WILL NOT BE READY AND YOU WILL BE WAITING AWHILE

We had great meal from Golden Wok. Our favorite dish is Malaysian style Chow Foon.

Ordered jumbo shrimp fried rice. Does that look like Jumbo shrimp fried rice? Also I didn't get napkins or a spoon or a fork or at least chop sticks. Talk about a rip off. They said they don't give you utensils or napkins unless you ask or only during lunch time. They would rather have an angry customer that can't eat their food at 6:30pm than to spend 10 cents on napkins and a plastic spoon. I am not going back food wasn't great either.

We love this takeout spot. Everything we have ever ordered has been delicious.

Best little spot in town. Fried rice is my favorite for under $10.00. We are picky eaters in our home… and we were all impressed and satisfied.
