Absolutely disgusting. Sheets were dirty and had hair all over them. The floors had dirt everywhere. The furniture was literally broken pieces stacked together. Had some hitchhiking cockroaches in our bag after staying here. The man at the counter told us one price on the phone and then changed it to something higher when we got there. Hot water doesn't last. The shower head spray was the equivalent of holding your thumb over a garden hose. Stay away.

Sadly the new owner has let this place completely fall apart. Used to be acceptable when the lovely owner Trudy had the place. Was never super nice but she kept it clean and was respectful. The new management is rude! I had items “lost” there. Completely unacceptable. Will sadly never be returning here since I value my health. The layers of dirt were out of a horror film.

Very nice people very clean. Very inexpensive compared to the area. There was no microwave in the room. And no free breakfast but that is fine as it wasn't the reason for my requiring of the room yeah. The water did not go down in the tub a while but that was not a big deal not big enough to change rooms. I will tell her about it and if it is an issue that gets bigger I will change room for the remainder of my but otherwise I will stay where I am

This was the second time my wife and I stayed at this hotel. It is no frills but our room was clean, the air conditioning worked, the beds were comfortable, there was ample parking, the water pressure was good and the water was hot. It is also in an excellent location -- right across the street from the FDR library and house and about a mile from the Culinary Institute of America. There is an excellent diner about a mile north and a Starbucks about 2 miles south. It is hard to communicate with the owners by phone, but e-mail worked fine.

We were really worried because we booked this motel due to its position THEN read the reviews. I rang the motel and spoke to the owner asking specifically about beds and cleanliness. She sounded in tears. I have just bought new mattresses and your room is very clean!|She is correct the room is clean and the mattress new.||The motel is dated but the TVs is fine and we have a fridge The air-com is efficient and the curtains cut out the light ||She should charge much more and spend the money on updating the decoration and having larger bath towels!||I would stay again

We were in town for the birth of our granddaughter and were unable to make reservations in advance. Because it was a Friday night, most of the basic hotel/motels prices were nearly doubled from the weekday prices. We found the Golden Manor Motel and it meet our needs. Old-fashioned charm from the 60s. It was clean and bed was comfortable. Not much in the way of TV channels, but that was ok. The couple was very accommodating to our late arrival as we did not know when we would arrive. We had coffee/tea from the lobby in the morning. They also had croissants, but we did not try them. We ate at the diner up the street. Price was very reasonable and we would stay there again.

We have been staying at this motel for 6 yrs the weekend after Labor day to go to the Hudson Valley Wine and Food Festival, the husband and wife owners are very pleasant and the rooms at this motel are always clean. The shower is the best, it's old fashioned and has the best water pressure I've ever felt. I love to stand under it and let the water hit my back, if you have a sore back you'll love it!

The only good thing about this is the location directly across the street from the FDR museum. The beds are like sleeping on concrete, the walls are thin, the pillows are flat, the bathrooms are tiny and nothing has been updated since about 1974. I heard every other guest all night. I've never woken up with more back pain than after a night in this bed. The price compared to other places in the area is unbeatable, but you get what you pay for. Spend a couple extra bucks and a few extra minutes driving and skip this spot.
