Golden Greek Restaurant & Pub - Family restaurant in Dayville - 474 Putnam Pike, USA

Family style restaurant with open seating. My step-mother and I went for dinner and were seated quickly. She ordered soup & salad bar. She thought the salad bar had limited choices. I ordered angel hair pasta with meat balls. It was a generous portion and I took about 3/4 home. The sauce and meat balls were good but not outstanding. They need more flavor. Our waitress was a little too attentive and interrupted us twice during meaningful conversation. I got the impression that she didnt know what to do with herself if she wasn't running from table to table. It was not a bad experience but, not as relaxed as I expected. I also got the impression it was a neighborhood hot spot with people arriving and loudly announcing themselves in the dining area. Loud conversation all around through entire visit. Definitely not a place for a quiet, intimate dinner.

We ordered a tray of pasta and salad (to go)last minute for a gathering we put together and this restaurant is top notch! Not only was Steve very accommodating , the food fantastic, abundant and delicious, friendly service; you will find the prices are very reasonable! I had the fried scallops, and my sister had the fish n chips. This came with full salad bar & and awesome clam chowder, both white or Manhattan. Excellence all the way around. Prices were very reasonable.

The GG has been a staple of the area for as long as I can remember. Pretty much can get any type of food, seafood, Italian, steaks, and the only place around with their great salad bar. They have a number of different seating areas with amble seating. My cousin thinks they have the best Seafood Newburgh, and he owns Miltowne Grill. My uncle says their Prime Rib is the best as well. Service is usually good as well. They can get pretty pack on the weekends. There is a large bar area where you can catch the game and grab a drink. I'm not sure they do everything great since it's such a hugh diverse menu, but odds are its probably going to be good, whatever you great.

Never been here before but heard amazing things about it. Was in the area and decided to stop…place looked nice and that’s where it stopped. The restaurant was cold. We had to sit in the bar. The waitress was horrible, got our order wrong because she did not write it down. When the food finally arrived it was wrong AND cold!!! Never before and never again!!! We walked out!!!!

Good food, I had a pizza and wife had a salad. It's was good but only thing they could use is some more vegetarian options other than veggie burger or salad and pasta. Other wise it was good. We probably wouldn't return unless they got more variety for vegetarians.

Phenomenal food, phenomenal customer service, and salad bar is the best around. if you're thinking of going here, don't even think twice, just go and have a great time. You will go back again and again. I love this place!!!

Really disappointed with the birthday meal we had there. Prices have gone up here as they have everywhere else. But when I pay $23 for a pasta special I would not expect canned onions in it. I took two small bites and pushed the plate away. My sister did the same with her pasta (a different dish). The waitress never came to ask how our food was. When she came to see if we wanted dessert or the bill, I said I really didn't like mine and that canned onions literally made me feel sick. She just smiled at me and said she'd get me a box. Does Golden Greek not take things off the bill if you don't want them or like them? We have gone there a ton. I love the chicken francaise and should have gotten that. The pizzas are decent. Sandwiches are fine. Personal pan pizzas are a good deal. I just don't appreciate not getting real customer service.
